Day 5: The Grace for Salvation

Jesus came with the anointing that opens blind eyes and delivers souls from darkness into his light.

My salvation is so precious that each time I think about it, “I can only say thank you Lord”. I am enjoying this free gift that I never paid for because someone stood in the gap so that my blind eyes would be open to see and receive the free grace of salvation. There is a grace that God (Titus 2:11-12) has released for people to come to God and surrender themselves to Christ. However, there is a problem that needs to be solved.

According to 2 Corinthians 4: 4- 5 “3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake”, the enemy of salvation has placed a blindness/ veil over unbelievers’ spiritual vision making it impossible to see the grace that has been released for their salvation. Therefore, they remain in the dark held captive by the enemy, don’t care about God or their salvation, as well as think it’s ok to live without Christ. This is where the intercessor comes in; standing in the gap praying and speaking the word of deliverance, shining the light of Christ over that blindness, challenging the powers of darkness, pleading for mercy, standing in the authority in Jesus’s blood and name for their eyes to be open into that grace.

According to Romans 5:7-8 “Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”, God’s love for mankind was poured into his son and sent into the world to die on the cross. The death of Christ cannot be taken for granted. Therefore, as believers in Christ, we must make every effort to bring others into this amazing love relationship with Christ. There is only one name by which man can be saved and that is JESUS, nothing else (Acts 4:11-12).

Prayer Points

  • Pray that God will grant you/ the church the grace that teaches you to say no to any form of ungodliness so that you can be useful in bringing others to Christ:  Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age”.

  • We have been commanded to go into the world and proclaim the gospel of salvation. Ask the Lord to help you/the church fulfill this command, because most often we think it’s the job of the pastor: Mark 16:15-16 “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

  • Pray for a spiritual understanding about salvation in the name of Jesus among unbelievers:  Acts 4:11-12 “11This Jesus is ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ 12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved”.

  • Pray that the Lord will arise and draw his people to himself: John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day”.

  • Pray that unbelievers will open their hearts to receive this free gift of salvation: Romans 10:9-10 “9 that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved. 11 It is just as the Scripture says: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”

  • Pray that God will arise in his power and bring the Luke 18:27 “Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

  • Pray that grace of repentance will fall upon the lost in our families and communities and cause them to be open to repentance:  Acts 2:38 “And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

  • Pray for the grace to spread the word of God without fear or shame: Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

  • Pray for the grace to shine your light so that you may be a channel that brings salvation to those who meet you: Acts 13:47 “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

  • It’s the desire of God that man everywhere be saved. Therefore, He has given us his word to declare it and bring repentance over our homes, communities, church and the nation of the earth: Acts 26:20 “But declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.” Luke 24:47 “And that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.”

  • Pray that men will seek God at the right season. It can be dangerous to miss the season of deliverance: Isaiah 55:6-7 “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon’.

  • Pray for the salvation of your loved ones. Pray that God will give you grace to speak the word of God that brings repentance: Acts 16:30-32 “30Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then Paul and Silas spoke the word of the Lord to him and to everyone in his house.
