Day 2: Remember me Oh Lord
We are engraved in God’s palms. What a place to be. This means God cannot forget us. He takes notice of us always. Jeremiah 15:15 “You understand, O LORD; remember me and attend to me. Avenge me against my persecutors. In Your patience, do not take me away. Know that I endure reproach for Your honor.”
As humans we like attention, always wanting to have a name, title, money, new house, and marriage or the birth of a child. When people do not remember to recognize these in us it becomes a problem. God on the other hand will remember that his word cannot fall on bear ground. One of the main things this year will be to ask the Lord to remember us and bring his promises to pass.
Pray that matters concerning us will always be before God all the time.
Pray that God will not only remember us but will also deliver us from our enemies.
Deuteronomy 6: 12 “Then take care lest you forget the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.” Pray that God will help us not to forget him.
Genesis 8:1 “But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided.” Pray that God will remember you and cause that every troubling waters subside in Jesus name.
Psalm 106:4 “Remember me, LORD, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them,” Pray that as the Lord distributes favor, let him remember us.
Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Pray that God will help us to fix our eyes upon Jesus and nothing else.
2 Timothy2:8 “ Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel.” Finally, the gospel must be preached. Pray for the grace to preach the word of God.
