21-Day Fast: Day 10 - Restoring the Glory of God in the Church
Why Restoration?
1 Samuel 4:21 “She named the boy Ichabod, saying, "The Glory has departed from Israel"--because of the capture of the ark of God and the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband”. The glory of God is an essential aspect of our relationship with God. Without the glory we can as well say there is reason to have Jesus nor relate to God. We live in the times when the church is suffering a serious deficit of the manifestation of God’s power and it’s because His glory has departed from the church and we are just present without His presence and thus there is no true fellowship with God. Psalm 106:20 “Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass”. The word of God cannot lie. The church has exchanged the glory of God for what the church wants rather then what God expects. May have mercy.
Psalm 26:8 “LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honor dwelleth.”
We cannot love the house of God without the place of His honor which represents His glory. We have to cry on to God to help us return to the place of His glory.
Jeremiah 2:11 “Has a nation ever changed its gods? (though they were no gods at all!) Yet My people have exchanged their Glory for idols that are useless.”
Ask yourself what your role in this word is? What have you exchanged the glory of God with in your walk with God? Ask for mercy in Jesus name.
Psalm 72:19 “Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!”
It is time to declare that this word must come to pass. If the glory is not in the church it cannot fill the earth. The glory has to fill the church and then explode to the entire earth.
Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you”
Pray that the church of God will arise and shine forth the light of Christ which is God’s glory.
Hebrew 1:3 “And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
Without Jesus there is no glory, pray that the church will truly surrender to Jesus and have a genuine relationship with Him, because we can only experience the glory of God through Christ.
Philippians 2: 9-11 “Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Pray that every knee of pride, arrogance, and unbelief, sin, and all forms of fruits of the flesh must come before the Father and bow to the name of Jesus.
John 11:40 “Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”
Pray that the Lord will remove every vale of unbelief and help us see His glory in Jesus’ mighty name.
Exodus 40:34-35 “Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”
Pray that the cloud of God’s glory will fill the temple again as in time past.
Exodus 33:18 “Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”
Pray that God will open the eyes of the church to see His glory.
Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”
Pray that the church will be filled with the knowledge and understanding of God’s glory.
Isaiah 58:8 “Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up speedily; your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.”
Declare this word over you and the church in the mighty name of Jesus.
John 17: 4-5 “I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.”
Pray that the church must glorify God in doing that which we have been called to do not setting our own agendas
Colossians 1:27 “To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Pray that God will reveal to the church the richness of His glory which is in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 24: 7-8 “Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!”
Pray that all evil gates standing in the way of the manifestation of the full glory of God in the church must be lifted up and scatter by fire in the name of Jesus.
Revelation 21:23-25 “And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there.”
This is Jesus showing forth in the church. Pray that this glory of God will shine forth in the churches, communities, nations and everywhere.
Numbers 20:6 “Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. And the glory of the Lord appeared to them.”
Pray that God will grant the church the spirit of humility so that the church can experience His glory.
Add as led by the Spirit of God for this is only a guide.
