Day 7: 12/3/23: Children: God’s Gift to man

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
— James 1: 17

Children are gifts from God to man. Man is only a caretaker. God’s gifts are always good and perfect. We must always see our children as good and perfect irrespective of what you see and know physically. Declare that our children are perfect and good gifts from the Lord.

Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Declare the blessings of the Lord over our children. Declare that they are fruitful in every aspect of their lives because they are planted in the garden of the Lord, they are multiplying and filling the earth with the heavenly fragrance. They will subdue the earth and have dominion over every thing in their generation.

Isaiah 54:13 “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”

Ask the Lord according to his word to teach our children his ways. Declare the peace of God over them. Call froth calmness over every storm raging in their lives.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 “6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

Pray that as parents we will not fail to have the word of God in our hearts. Pray that we will teach them the word of God at all times.

Exodus 20: 12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you”

Pray that God will grant grace to children to be respectful and honor their parents and love ones.

1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

Pray that where ever they go nobody will despise them, they will present as examples of believers who have been transformed by the word of God. Pray for the grace to walk in love, faith, and purity.

Matthew 19:14 “Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

God expects adults to be a mentor and be a role model in the lives of children. Adults are expected to guide children in the way of the Lord so they can inherit the kingdom of God. Pray that we will not be a hindrance to God’s plan for the children.

Luke 2:40 “And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.”

Pray that our children will grow in the spirit of God, filled with wisdom, knowledge and grace

Proverbs 3:5-6. “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6

in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”

Pray that our children will not depend on themselves or their peers but will trust God is every decision that they want to make.

John 17:3 “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”

Pray that they will know and serve only God

1 Chronicle 28:9 “And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever”

Declare this verse over our children.

Day 6: 12/2/23: The Lost Sheep

“3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”
— Luke 15:3-7

Jesus took the job of winning souls very seriously and every soul matters to the extent that he leaves 99 to look for that one missing. It does not end there but Jesus ensures to celebrate the rescued sheep. That shows how much he loves the sinner. We must have the same mindset as Jesus did.

Titus 3:5 “He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,”.

It is by the mercy of God that we are saved. It is very crucial that we pray for that mercy to visit the unsaved.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 “3 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. 4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God”

We pray for the lost sheep because Satan has blinded their eyes and only the power of God can librate them.

1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

We pray so that God in his power will make the cross meaningful to the sinner.

2 Corinthians 3:14 “But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ.”

And that is why salvation is found only in Jesus according to

Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

We prayer because only Jesus can save. He is the only one who has succeeded in removing the veil so that people are librated.

Pray that God will send his word to soften the heart of the unbeliever.

Pray for the grace to believe that Jesus is Lord will fall upon the unbeliever to convict them that Jesus is Lord.

Ephesians 2: 8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast”.

Pray that this salvation grace will fall upon everyone whom you are believing God for this salvation.

Romans 10:9 “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Pray for the grace to confess sin and declare that Jesus is Lord.

John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.”

Pray that God will draw those needing salvation to the cross.

Acts 2:38 “And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Pray for the grace that was upon Peter to visit the church so that the church can be embarked in soul winning.

Psalm 25: 5 “Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”

Pray that God will lead the lost to the truth, the revelation of the person Jesus.

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”

Pray for the grace to hear God. The devil has stood in the way of this revelation.

Acts 13:47 “so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

Pray that the church will arise and begin to walk in the light so that sinners may see and follow.

Acts 11:18 “When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, “Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

Pray that the power of the word of God will visit the ear of every sinner so they can hear and believe the Word of God.

Mathew 16:18 “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

Pray against the power of the enemy that stands against the church and attempts to prevent souls to be saved.

Finally, thank the Lord for the opportunity to pray for the lost sheep. Thank the Lord for hearing us. Thank the Lord for those who are being set free through these prayers.
