Day 21: 12/17/23: Thanksgiving and Praise

“1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth! 2 Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious. 3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. 4  All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.” 5 Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind!”
— Psalm 66: 1-5

We have been at the altar for the past 21 days. I believe with all my heart that we could not have done this without God. It is time to give God thanks for all he has done for us and continues to do.

Why thanksgiving and Praise?

God has heard our cry.

Psalm 10:17 “You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,”

God has not only heard the prayer of his church but he has consecrated it his church.

1 kings 9:3 “And the LORD said to him: "I have heard your prayer and petition before Me. I have consecrated this temple you have built by putting My Name there forever; My eyes and My heart will be there for all time.”

God has strengthened his church.

Daniel 10:19 “Do not be afraid, you who are highly precious," he said. "Peace be with you! Be strong now; be very strong!" As he spoke with me, I was strengthened and said, "Speak, my lord, for you have strengthened me."

Ephesians 3:16 “I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.”

He has given his church sufficient grace to cry them through.

2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

I believe God has enlightened our spiritual vision to understand why he called his church.

Ephesians 1:18 “I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.”

The grace for the great commission has been granted to his church.

Ephesians 3:8 “Though I am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.”

I believe that God has visited his church
Jeremiah 31:33 “But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

We will soon see the answers to our prayers/ fasting in the church, nations, and communities.

2 Corinthians 3:3 “It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”

God has transformed his church to love him more.
Deuteronomy 3:6 “And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.”

God has and will continue to restore and visit families.
Jeremiah 31:1 “At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.”

God is revealing himself to his church.

Jeremiah 24:7 “And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.”

God has given his church a new desire towards him.

I Chronicles 29:18 “ O LORD, God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, keep this desire forever in the intentions of the hearts of Your people, and direct their hearts toward You.”

Day 20: 12/16/23: Walking in Spiritual Break through

“1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. 2 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. 3 And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 Lift up your eyes all around, and see;
they all gather together, they come to your sons shall come from afar,
and your daughters shall be carried on the hip. 5 Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.”
— Isaiah 60: 1- 5

Even as we are about to complete our 21 days of prayer/ fasting, the Lord is moving us into a season of breakthrough. Our light has come and we must rise up and walk in his glory. Of course darkness will show its ugly head but we will fear not because the glory of God is with us. We must keep shining our light because the nations around us will depend on us. The blessings of the Lord is our portion.

Isaiah 45:1-3 “Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings,
to open doors before him that gates may not be closed: 2 “I will go before you and level the exalted places, I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron, 3 I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who call you by your name.”

Declare that this scripture is our portion in Jesus mighty name.

Psalm 91: 1-2 “ 1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Pray that as we have spent time these 21 days on his Holy Mountain, we have also received the dweller’s grace. Therefore dwelling in his presence will not be a struggle anymore.

John 5:19 “So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.”

Pray that our total dependence will be solely on God and nothing else because without him we can do nothing.

Isaiah 48:17 “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.”

Pray that we will be humble enough to allow the Lord to be our teacher as well as lead us where we ought to go.

Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Pray and ask God for the new thing in your life in this season of prayers; fresh fire, divine visitation, fresh oil etc

Hebrew 12:2 “Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Jesus went through stuff and if must succeed, then we must follow his led. Our eyes must be fixed on him alone even when it makes no sense.

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Ask God for a Pentecostal style visit upon his church.

Ephesians 6:18 “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.”

Pray for the grace of prayer so you are energized to pray according to his word.

Psalm 91:3-4 “ 3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence. 4

He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.”

Pray that the Lord will arise and deliver us from any snare and deadly pestilence. Pray for a heavenly covering over every aspect of your being and family.

2 Samuel 5:20 “And David came to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there. And he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me like a breaking flood.” Therefore the name of that place is called Baal-perazim.”

Pray that the Lord gives us victory over our enemies even in this season of prayer and fasting so that we will have a memory of 2023

Acts 12:7-8 “7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”

Pray for such an angelic invitation and intervention over every aspect of life where the enemy is still holding us captive.

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Pray that because God has not given us the spirit of fear, the enemy will not use fear to intimidate us. Therefore we will walk even through the valley of the shadow of death and fear nothing because God is there with us according to his promises.

Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Finally declare that we must choose to walk with Philippians 4:8.
