Day 21: Expectations of Spiritual Success and Thanksgiving

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
— Romans 8:28

12 Tips for Spiritual Success in 2020

  1. The word of God must be your breakfast, Lunch, and dinner and snack in-between. Joshua 1:8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

  2. Study the word of God. 2 Timothy 2:15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

  3. Abide in Him and make His presence your dwelling place.  John 15:7-8If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” Psalm 91:1-8Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely, he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.”

  4. Sin is a gangrene, run away from it. Romans 6:12-14Therefore do not let sin control your mortal body so that you obey its desires. Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and present the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.”

  5. Know who the Lord is to you. Psalm 23:1-6The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

  6. Desire to know Jesus. Philippians 3:7-12But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in[a] Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.” Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”

  7. Deny self and follow the Lord. Mathew 16:24-25Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”

  8. Walk in love and give. Colossians 3:12-14Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”

  9. Serve the Lord with the whole heart. 1 Chronicles 28:9As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” Deuteronomy 10:12"And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”

  10. Seek Godly wisdom in every step. Proverbs 24:3-7By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory. Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the gate he does not open his mouth.”

  11. Prayer altar must have wood and keep lighted all the time. Luke 21:36But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

  12. Never stop giving thanks irrespective whatever comes your ways. Ephesians 5:20Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ.”

Finally, know that God always have the perfect plan for you. Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Thanksgiving for the 21 days of Prayer and fasting

Hebrews 12:28Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.”

Psalm 9:1-2I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.”

1 Corinthians 15:57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Day 20: Standing in the Gap for Intercessors

Between the vestibule and the altar let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep and say, “Spare your people, O Lord, and make not your heritage a reproach, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?
— Joel 2:17
Prophetic intercession is a ministry of faith. We do not always know the reason for the prayer burden that the Holy Spirit gives us; neither do we always learn the outcome of our prayers. But we do know that God is faithful. And-that the greatest reward of prophetic intercession is intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
— Helen Calder

Colossians 1: 9-12For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.”

  • Pray that God will fill intercessors with knowledge, spiritual wisdom and understanding to be able to discern the path of intercession as it concerns the burden of God.

  • Pray that they will walk worthy of the call they have answered as an intercessor

  • Pray that they will please God in the work they do and bear fruits that bring glory to God.

  • Pray that they will be strengthened in the power of the word of God. Ephesians 3:16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”

  • Thank the Lord for every intercessor around the corners of the earth.

Acts 1:8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

  • Pray for an out pour of the Pentecostal anointing upon every intercessor

Ephesians 1:18I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.”

  • Pray that they will be enlightened in the power of the Word of God as they dwell in the Word of God and will understand the hope in which they have been called.

2 Corinthians 12:9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

  • Pray that they will embrace the grace of God in their daily walk. It never easy when you are attacked just for standing in the gap.

2 Peter 3:18But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”

  • Pray that they will grow in the grace and knowledge of God who has called and appointed them to carry this work.

Acts 20:32And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”

  • Commit every intercessor to the Lord and to the Word of God to help them be built up so that they are able to be diligent in the call.

Titus 3:14And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet the pressing needs of others, so that they will not be unfruitful.”

  • Pray for a devoted heart to do the work that God has entrusted into their hands.

2 Corinthians 13:5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”

  • Pray that intercessor will examine themselves daily whether they are still in the faith or not, so they can repent and get back to track.

1 Corinthians 15:58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

  • Pray that they will be committed, standing strong in the call and not give up, giving their all and all in this work knowing that its never going to be in vain.

2 Corinthians 7:1Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

  • Pray that they will constantly cleanse themselves from all filthiness and allow the holiness of God to flow within their inmost being.

2 Timothy 4:18The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

  • Pray that the hand of God will protect them from every evil attack of the enemy.

2 Samuel 22:3-4My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.”

  • Declare this verse over them in Jesus mighty name.

Day 19: Do Not Forget Me My God

But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me; the Lord has forgotten me!” “Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the son of her womb? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me.
— Isaiah 49: 14-16

Sometimes in life we come to that place where we have prayed and prayed and wonder what is going on with God. Has He forgotten to hear us? Is He trying to not answer our prayer? Did we do something so terrible that God will not forgive us and will not answer us? Is God still God? Is the bible actually true? Should we stop praying and just assume that it’s the will of God? All kinds of questions bombard our minds during such times, but the truth is that God is still seated on the same throne and cannot forget us. His word cannot and will never change nor lie. The problem most times is to put this reality of His word into action, believe, and hold on to it. That is where most often we struggle. Haggai 2:23 says “On that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, I will take you, My servant, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, declares the LORD, and I will make you like My signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the LORD of Hosts." We are chosen and God has made us like a signet ring to Himself; a reliable seal of validity; God validates His relationship with us with the ring.

Exodus 2:23-25Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God. So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.”

  • Pray that God will take notice of your suffering and deliver you. 2020 will be a years of deliverance, no more bondage, enough of enslavement, enough of no achievements, enough of suffering as if God is not God, as if Jesus did not die and resurrected to bring life in abundance. Declare that you must walk in total freedom that Jesus gave.

Luke 1:69-73He has raised up a horn[a] of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago), salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us to show mercy to our ancestors and to remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham.”

Isaiah 60: 17-19Instead of bronze I will bring you gold; I will bring silver in place of iron, bronze instead of wood, and iron instead of stones. I will appoint peace as your governor and righteousness as your ruler. No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders. But you will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. No longer will the sun be your light by day, nor the brightness of the moon shine on your night; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your splendor.”

  • Declare this word over your life as your life from this day forward into 2020. Violence will not be heard in your land.

2 Samuel 7:10And I will provide a place for My people Israel and will plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their own and be disturbed no more. No longer will the sons of wickedness oppress them as they did at the beginning.”

  • Declare that oppression shall come to at end, no longer will wickedness find you.

Isaiah 54:14In righteousness you will be established, far from oppression, for you will have no fear, and removed from terror, for it will not come near you.”

  • Pray that the Lord establishes you in His righteousness far from oppression, fear and terrors of the enemy.

Isaiah 60:11 Your gates will always stand open; they will never be shut, day or night, so that the wealth of the nations may be brought into you, with their kings being led in procession.”

  • Declare that your gates will stand open and never be shot so the wealth of the nations will locate you.

Isaiah 62:4No longer will you be called Forsaken, nor your land named Desolate; but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be His bride.”

  • You may have been called names that don’t align with the word of God, today declare this word over your life, every name/identity that is not of God be destroyed by His fire,

Zechariah 2:5For I will be a wall of fire around it, declares the LORD, and I will be the glory within it.'"

  • Pray that the Lord will become a wall around you and the glory within.

Zechariah 9:8But I will camp around My house because of an army, because of those who march to and fro, and never again will an oppressor overrun My people, for now I keep watch with My own eyes.”

  • Pray that the Lord Himself will camp around you and every thing that concerns you, so that your oppressors will never locate you in Jesus’ mighty name.

Isaiah 11:9They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”

  • There is security in the mountain of the Lord. Pray that God will grant you grace to dwell at His mountain so that you are protected as you dwell there.

Psalm 84:11For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.”

  • Pray for the grace to walk with integrity so that when you ask He cannot withhold any good thing from you.

Isaiah 51:11So the redeemed of the LORD will return and enter Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.”

  • Declare that your life will be filled with singing and unending joy and gladness. No more sorrow.

Day 18: How Long Lord Should I Wait for my Spouse?

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
— Genesis 1:27-28
And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
— Genesis 2:22-24
Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
— James 5:7-8

Marriage is God’s ordained covenant and really can create issues when it comes to when, who or how one settles with a wife or husband. Did I hear from God or I am moved by sentiments? There are some basic things in God’s word that we can hold on to, to direct us as we wait for this great step in life. James 5: 7-8 gives us the analogy of a farmer waiting for a harvest.

How do I wait like a farmer?

Locate a place to farm and decide on the kind of crops to grow: Genesis 24:3-4The Lord is the God of heaven and the God of earth. I want you to make a promise to me in his name. I’m living among the people of Canaan. But I want you to promise me that you won’t get a wife for my son from their daughters. Instead, promise me that you will go to my country and to my own relatives. Get a wife for my son Isaac from there.”

  • Pray and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance as to the geographical location of your spouse.

Gather the materials for the farm: Faith in God, believe the promises, and stand on the truth of God’s word. Luke 1:45Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!"

  • Ask the Lord for grace to believe, truth and hold on to his promises for your marriage.

Remove all the weeds and plough the farm: Stay away from sin, fear, negativity, and self-condemnation. Isaiah 41:10Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

  • Ask the Lord for courage and grace to uproot any fear, sin or weed and not to be given into any fear, sin or anything that stands on your way as you wait on the Lord.

Plant the crops: This has to do with your work in the ministry. You do not have to be a pastor or evangelist. John 4:34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”

  • Pray that the Lord will give you grace to play your part in the work of the ministry while waiting on the Lord.

Routine check-up for weeds and pruning to ensure its growing as expected: John 15 1-2I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”

  • Pray for the grace to remain connected to the vine so that God Himself will help you.

Wait for the harvest: Ecclesiastes 3:1There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

  • Pray that the season for marriage will not pass you by.

  • Pray for alertness and spiritual sensitivity during this time so you will not miss your visitation.

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

  • Pray that only the plan of God for marriage will come to pass and every other plan be destroyed by fire in the name of Jesus Christ

Job 5:12He thwarts the schemes of the crafty, so that their hands find no success.” Let the Lord frustrate every plan standing in the way of the plan of God for marriage.”

2 Samuel 15:31And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

  • Sometimes we have the Ahithophel’s around who are supposed to support us but they turn out to work with the devil. Pray that God will arise and turn every counsel of Ahithophel (conspirators against the plan of God) to nothing.

Isaiah 44:25Who foils the signs of false prophets and makes fools of diviners, who confounds the wise and turns their knowledge into nonsense.”

  • Pray that every evil prophesy and diviners speaking against your life the Lord will arise and turn their wisdom to nonsense in Jesus name.

Joshua 1:9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

  • Ask the Lord to strengthen you as you wait for His time to bless with a spouse

Jeremiah 23:29 "Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”

  • Pray for the fire of God upon anything that has been standing as an obstacle to your breakthrough.

Genesis 8:1But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.”

  • Pray that the Lord will remember you and dry off any troubling waters around you that is holding you bound.

Proverbs 18:22He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.”

  • Pray that as a woman you are a good thing and your husband must locate you as a wife.

  • Pray that the Lord prepares you as a wife

  • As a man pray that the Lord prepares you as a husband and grant you the grace to go out and locate you wife.

Zephaniah 3:17The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

  • Ask the Lord to rejoice over you with a blessing of the spouse you have been waiting for.

  • Thank the Lord for hearing our cry.

Day 17: Who is Praying for the Ministers of the Gospel?

Ephesians 4:11-13So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

The purpose for which God has called minsters of the Gospel to the church  is to equip, build, unite, teach the knowledge of God, promote spiritual growth and maturity in order that every believer becomes more like  Christ and thus show forth the glory of God.

1 Timothy 5:17Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.”

Most elders are not worthy to preach and teach the word of God because they have been self-appointed. Worthy implies the elder presents with the spiritual qualification to teach the word. Only God can qualify a teacher of his Word. 1 Timothy 2:7For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” Paul was appointed by God.  Additionally, not everybody is called to teach the word according to James 3:1Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” Today we find all kinds of people with different titles and names only because they want to be noticed. Such people with titles knows fully well that it is not supposed to be about them according to 2 Corinthians 4:5For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.”

Acts 20:28Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.”

  • Paying attention to the flock is one of the numerous duties of the minister. This is not the case in so many churches today. Pray that the Lord will turn the hearts of his ministers back to the original assignment: “take care and pay attention to the flock”.

Romans 12:3- 8For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”

  • A prideful heart always puts self before others but a humble heart put others first. Pray that God will humble ministers, as they operate in the gifts, they will do so only by grace and nothing for them to boast about.

1 Corinthians 3:10- 15By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.”

  • Pray that ministers will go back to the foundation that was laid by the apostles, the Word was not sugar coated to fit any particular group, the apostles presented the plain gospel of truth.

1 Peter 4:10-11Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.  If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

  • The call of God is by grace, as well as serving God, so Pray that ministers will use the  gifts given to them by grace to serve rather then been served for its not their strength but that which God has given them by grace.

  • Pray that they will speak as one who speaks the word of God

Jeremiah 3:15And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.”

  • Many believers lack spiritual guidance because of poor leadership in their local church. Pray that the Lord will raise ministers after His heart rather than ministers for themselves. Ministers who are anointed to teach the knowledge of God’s Word so that it is understood by the church.

Acts 1:8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

  • Pray for a visitation of the Holy Spirit upon the ministers of the gospel so that they may be true witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:15Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”

  • Pray that ministers of the gospel will invest time in studying the word of God so that they are well equipped with spiritual wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to rightly divide the Word of God to the church.

Acts 20:24  “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”

  • Paul took a position of humility here, knowing that what is important is completing the work of the ministry rather then anything valuable about him. Pray the ministers will emulate the life of Paul as their carry out their assignment in spreading the word of God.

2 Corinthians 8:23As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker for your benefit. And as for our brothers, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.”

  • Pray for unity and support among ministers rather then the spirit of rivalry and competition.

Matthew 28:18-20And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

  • Ministers of the Gospel cannot teach the word appropriately if they are not held to the same standards of obeying the same word they teach. Pray that the Spirit of the Lord will convict their hearts to obey the word of God as well.

2 Corinthians 5:20Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”

Pray that as ambassadors the Lord will grant grace to ministers to truthfully represent the exact nature of God in every aspect of their daily living both at home and in public.

1 Peter 4:11Whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

  • Pray that the grace be granted to every minster of the gospel to speak only as God’s oracle and to serve only by the strength of Lord, so that in all they do God will be glorified.

Malachi 2:7For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.”

  • Pray that God will sanctify the lips of every minister so that when they speak, they will speak words that will transform the church.

Colossians 1:24-25Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions for the sake of His body, which is the church. I became its servant by the commission God gave me to fully proclaim to you the word of God.”

  • Pray that God will open the eyes of ministers to understand that they are called to suffer for the well being of the church as well as serve as servants, for Jesus exemplified this when he washed the feet of his disciples.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

  • Pray that ministers of the Gospel will preach Jesus alone and Him crucified not any form of smooth talk

Jeremiah 9:23-24Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

  • Pray that they will only boast in the fact that Christ’s care is seen in every aspect of their ministries.

1 Peter 5:2Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly.”

  • Pray for a willing heart to do the work of God not out of gain but for God’s glory.

Numbers 6:24-26The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

  • Declare this blessing over every true minister of God

2 Kings 4:8-10One day Elisha went on to Shunem, where a wealthy woman lived, who urged him to eat some food. So, whenever he passed that way, he would turn in there to eat food. And she said to her husband, “Behold now, I know that this is a holy man of God who is continually passing our way. Let us make a small room on the roof with walls and put there for him a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp, so that whenever he comes to us, he can go in there.”

  • Pray that God will open a door for provision unto the ministers of the Gospel who are in need.

Isaiah 54:17No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”

  • Pray for the protection of the ministers of the Gospel of Christ.

  • Thank the Lord for hearing us for this list can never be exhorted.

Day 16: Standing in the Gap for the Church: God’s Building Blocks

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
— Ephesians 2:19-22

The church represents members of God’s household standing on the foundation that was built by the apostles and prophets. Jesus represents the main foundation that holds it all together and without which the church cannot stand on its own. Each believer in Christ represents a block and we are all joined together through the finished work on the cross to form a holy temple, a dwelling place for the Lord. Each block has a responsibility to do their own part so that the entire structure attends to the purpose of its establishment.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.”

Ephesians 2:4-5But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

  • Thank God for loving us so much that He come and set us free and made us alive by His grace

Matthew 16:18And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

  • God uses us as blocks to build His church and He stated that the gate of hell cannot prevail, so it’s our responsibility to stand against the gate of hell constantly declaring that it cannot stand against the work of God.  As a block pray that the gate of hell will not prevail against your section of block you are occupying in the body.

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

  • Pray that as the body of Christ, each of us will do our part in ensuring that Christ’s love is the center of our relationships and meeting, as well as a place to encourage each other as we learn to grow closer to God

Colossians 1:10So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

  • Pray for the grace to walk in the manner that is worthy of the call as God’s building blocks and that we will please Him in every aspect of our being.

Colossians 3:16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

  • Pray that the church will be willing to grow in the Word of God and allow the Word to dwell in us so that we are well equipped to teach, admonish one another with the wisdom that comes from the Word.

Romans 12:1-2Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

  • Pray the we will be mindful of the expectation as believers to present ourselves before God (not only on a Sunday morning as we walk daily) as living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

  • Pray that we will keep ourselves in the Word and presence of God so that our minds are renewed by the Word of God to keep us away from the patterns of the world.

Ephesians 4:2-5Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”

  • As a church, we are owned by one God and Father, therefore, we are children from the same blood line; Jesus’ blood, thus we should pray and ask God for the grace to contribute our portion to ensure there is oneness, love, and unity in the body.

Ephesians 4:25- 29Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

  • Pray that God will deliver the church from falsehood, the way we talk and interact with one another, all these behaviors block the spiritual flows and thus the Holy Spirit

Acts 2: 42- 47They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

  • Pray that the church will go back and be devoted to the teachings of the apostles who laid the foundation of the church.  It’s only these teachings that can bring others into the church as it was tested and proven that it works.

  • Pray for unity. John 17:23I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.”

  • If we operate in unity, we will do everything in agreement; 1 Corinthians 1:10I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” Pray for against the spirit of disagreement, that we will have one mind in Christ.”

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

  • Pray that we will not see other blocks in the church for who we think they are but will relate with them as members of the same body with whom we are all joined by the blood of Jesus.

Acts 20:29I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.”

  • Pray against the wolf that come in and scatters the temple of the living God.

Isaiah 62:6On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest

  • Pray that God will raise watchmen at the walls of the church to stand against the gates of hell and ensure the church is keeping with its purpose.

Day 15: Raising an Altar on Behalf of the Nations

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!

— Psalm 67: 1- 7
After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

— Revelation 7:9

Have you ever imagined this Bible verse in the book of revelation? Every nation on the earth represented before the throne of God; what an awesome gathering that will be? That is why we must pray for the righteousness of God to be established on the earth so that we can all gather as one family and worship the Great I AM.

Revelation 15:4Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

Isaiah 34:1-2Come near, you nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world, and all that comes out of it! The Lord is angry with all nations; His wrath is on all their armies. He will totally destroy them; He will give them over to slaughter.”

  • Oh cry out to the Lord and call on the nations to come onto the Lord and ask for mercy, the Lord is angry with the wickedness of the nations but we know the Lord can remember mercy instead of wrath.

Genesis 18:18Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.”

  • Pray that the word of this prophecy must come to pass over the nations of the earth. The enemy has been standing in the way. The blessing of the Lord comes when the Word of God penetrates the nation and it’s the word that releases the blessing.

Psalm 2:8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”

  • Ask God for the nations; salvation, His Word to penetrate the nations of the earth., ask God to cause His face to shine over the nations of the earth.

Matthew 25:32-34All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.  “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”

  • Pray that the nations of the earth will get ready for this great visitation of the Lord, how dreadful will that be for nations that will be on the left?

Isaiah 60:12For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste.”

  • Pray for a desire to serve the Lord, a desire for repentance as according to 2 Peter 3:9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

Psalm 33: 6-12By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of His mouth.  He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; He puts the deep into storehouses.  Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him.  For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.  The Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples.  But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.”

  • Pray that the Judgement of the Lord will arise and frustrate every counsel of the nations that are not in alignment with His plan

  • Pray that God will arise and establish His plan for the nations of the earth.

Exodus: 2:23- 25During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.”

  • Pray that the wrath of God will descend upon these evil leaders because they must die for these nations to be liberated.

  • There are nations of the earth who have been kept under the bondage of cruel rulers like Pharaoh and they have been crying unto the Lord. Stand with these nations and rise call on the Lord to remember His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob

Zephaniah 3:9Then will I purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the LORD and serve him shoulder to shoulder.”

  • Pray that God will arise by fire and purify the lips of the people of the nation so that everyone will come together and worship Him.

Haggai 2:7I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty.”

  • Pray that the Lord will arise and shake the nations and let that which is not of God be broken so that we may see His glory.

Matthew 24:14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

  • As that which is not of God is broken down, the way is paved for the Word of God to be preached to the nations of the earth. Luke 24:47 “...and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

Exodus 3: 9-10And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”

Pray that God will anoint a voice of Moses in the nations of the earth to confront the Pharaoh of this generation.

Exodus 6: 6-8Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.’”

  • Pray for an intercessor like Moses who will stand in the gap for the nations of the earth and give the nations an assurance; the word of hope that God has heard them, and He is about to do something.

Psalms 22:27-28All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations.”

Philippians 2:10-11that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

  • Pray that all the nations of the earth will remember that the Lord is God and will turn to God as they all come, bowing their knee and confessing that Jesus is Lord.

Proverbs 14:34Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”

  • Pray that the righteousness of God be revealed upon the nations of the earth because where there is righteousness the people will prosper.

Matthew 24:14And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

  • Pray for an open door of the gospel of Christ to reach the ends of the earth.

Psalm 46:9He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire.”

  • Pray that God will arise in His mercies and calm the storm of war in most nations of the earth.

  • Thank Lord for hearing your church

Day 14: Arise oh Lord from Your Temple and Answer Me

In my distress I called upon the LORD and I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for His help reached His ears.
— Psalm 18:6
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
— 1 Peter 3:12
Call to me and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
— Jeremiah 33:3

Have you been wondering where God is? It is 12/2019 and probably you have been trusting the Lord all this time and you have not received answers to your prayers. When the psalmist said “I called upon the Lord and I cried for help...” there is no time stated here. We are not told for how long he called, but one thing is clear; if Daniel had given up praying, he would have also given up his breakthrough. Daniel: 9:20-23  “While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my plea before the Lord my God for the holy hill of my God, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the first, came to me in swift flight at the time of the evening sacrifice. He made me understand, speaking with me and saying, “O Daniel, I have now come out to give you insight and understanding. At the beginning of your pleas for mercy a word went out, and I have come to tell it to you, for you are greatly loved. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision.”

Daniel 10:12- 14Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me because I was detained there with the king of Persia. Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”

1 Samuel 1:6-7Because the LORD had closed Hannah’s womb, her rival would provoke her and taunt her viciously. And this went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the LORD, her rival taunted her until she wept and would not eat.”

The two examples above indicate there is a reward in waiting for the Lord to hear our cry. We must choose to wait for God’s timing if we want a breakthrough.

Our prayers today are focused on a summary of individual prayer requests received.

Lord, I want to draw close to you:

Isaiah 57:15For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

  • A broken and humble spirit

1 Peter 2:1-3So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”

  • Put away sin in all its forms

Matthew 25:1-12Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps[a] and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward, the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

  • Be wise and keep the spiritual lamp burning 24/7 (the word and prayer)

Zechariah 13:9This third I will bring through the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'They are My people,' and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.”

  • Do not fight with God when he takes you through the fire, that is the only way you will grow

Isaiah 49:15-16Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.”

Ministry Growth and Spiritual Direction:

Zechariah 8:12 "For the seed will be prosperous, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will yield its produce, and the skies will give their dew. To the remnant of this people, I will give all these things as an inheritance

Protection for Children/ Process of Adoption:

2 Samuel 22:3-4My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.”

Fruit of the Womb:

1 Samuel 1:19-20The next morning Elkanah and Hannah got up early to bow in worship before the LORD, and then returned home to Ramah. And Elkanah had relations with his wife Hannah, and the LORD remembered her. So in the course of time, Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.”

Job Security/Protection/Finding:

Psalm 91:1-2He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say[a] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

Physical Healing:

2 Kings 20:5 "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of My people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. I will surely heal you. On the third day from now, you will go up to the house of the LORD.”

Day 13: Praying for the Leadership of the Nations of the Earth

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness
— I Timothy 2:1-2

As intercessors, God has placed us in a spiritual position where we can influence the direction of the nations of the earth. This has to do with consistent intercessions and putting the burden of these nations into our spirit not just where we were born. The bible says in Proverbs 16:12 “It is an abomination for kings to commit wicked acts, for a throne is established on righteousness.” Yet, we see and hear about wickedness of different forms across the nations.

Revelation 3:20Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me.”

Acts 4:12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."

  • Money or name cannot give any one salvation. Pray for the salvation of these leaders, may the Lord arise and arrest their hearts.

Proverbs 2:1-8Moral Benefits of Wisdom. My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.”

  • Pray that God will help leaders surrender to the authority of heaven because that is the only way they will acquire Godly wisdom to lead the people.

Jeremiah 22:13 "Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness and his upper rooms without justice, who uses his neighbor's services without pay and does not give him his wages.”

  • Pray that God will remember mercy on all leaders who are building on uprightness and injustice. May God remember mercy in the place of wrath

Judges 6:14The LORD looked at him and said, "Go in this your strength and deliver Israel from the hand of Midian. Have I not sent you?"

  • Pray that God will call and raise Godly leaders that will support the spread if his word

Romans 13:1Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”

  • There is only one authority and that is Jesus the King of Glory, so pray that God will cause them to surrender onto Jesus.

Psalm 78:70-72He also chose David His servant and took him from the sheepfolds; From the care of the ewes with suckling lambs He brought him To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance. So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them with his skillful hands.”

  • Pray that God will raise leaders with integrity and skills that will bring God glory.

Psalms 2:10-11Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.”

Philippians 2:3Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.”

Psalm 102:15The nations will fear the name of the Lord, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.”

  • Pray that the fear of the Lord will arrest their hearts and humble them

Daniel 4:28-32All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?” Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.”

  • We have so many leaders like Nebuchadnezzar in the world today who are enslaving the people and preventing them from living their God given potentials. Most of them have already been warned by the Lord but because of pride they will not humble themselves. Pray that God will arise in Judgment and sent forth the message carrying His wrath against them.

  • Pray that God will drive them away and cause them to eat grass like ox for this is the rode that will make them humble and renounce their evil.

  • Pray that the wrath of God will arise against their arrogance and pride

2 Kings 21:1-6Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother’s name was Hephzibah. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites. He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal and made an Asherah pole, as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them. He built altars in the temple of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put my Name.” In the two courts of the temple of the Lord, he built altars to all the starry hosts. 6 He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced divination, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.”

  • There are some leaders who have gone to the extreme that only the judgment of the Lord can take them out for the nation to be free. They don’t care about God, they carry out detestable practices, erect altars that has nothing to do with God. Their wickedness does not even recognize families or friends. Call on the wrath of God to descend upon such wicked leaders.

Proverbs 11:14For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.”

  • Pray that God will put around these leaders God advisers to direct them in the way of the Lord.

Proverbs 21:1The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will.”

  • Pray that God arrest and direct their hearts to move like the cause of river into what ever direction that pleases the Lord and that will bring Him glory.

Proverbs 9:10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

  • Pray that these leaders will yield unto the Holy Spirit of the living God so that they may be empowered with wisdom, knowledge and understanding in order to govern the people with righteousness and justice.

Exodus 18:21But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain —and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.”

  • Pray that God will help the nations to prayerfully elect leaders who have the fear of God in their hearts.

Psalm 37:30-31 "The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just. The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip."

  • Pray that God will raise Godly leaders who will rule the nations with righteousness and wisdom.

  • Thanks for your prayers

Day 12: Weapons in the Hands of the Enemy

How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, “I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit
— Isaiah 14:12-15

As believers, we must be aware that the enemy we are dealing with is not a toy or the picture that we often see on the TV screen with horns and blackface. The enemy is knowledgeable although limited compared to our mighty God. Therefore, we must treat him as such. To face and conquer every aspect of life as a believer, we must recognize and deal with these issues highlighted below.

Walking in Fear

Isaiah 43:1-3,10Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

2 Timothy 1:7For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

Deuteronomy 31:6Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Psalm 23:4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Psalm 27:1The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Acts 18:9-10And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.”

1 Samuel 7:7When the Philistines heard that the Israelites had gathered at Mizpah, their rulers marched up toward Israel. And when the Israelites learned of this, they feared the Philistines.”

Fear was meant to terrorize the enemy not us who match in the war zone from the stand of victory. The Spirit of God cannot be that of fear, else Jesus would have not defeated Satan.

Nehemiah 6:16When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations feared and were disheartened, for they realized that this task had been accomplished by our God.”

Exodus 14: 24-25At morning watch, however, the LORD looked down on the army of the Egyptians from the pillar of fire and cloud, and He threw their camp into confusion. He caused their chariot wheels to wobble, so that they had difficulty driving. “Let us flee from the Israelites,” said the Egyptians, “for the LORD is fighting for them against Egypt!”

Even if you are afraid you cannot give up, cry unto God; Exodus 14:10 “And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.”

Walking in Unforgiveness

Isaiah 43:25-26I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. Put me in remembrance; let us argue together; set forth your case, that you may be proved right.”

Micah 7:18-19Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.”

If God has forgiven us, then we have no justification to hold on any form of unforgiveness.

Mark 11:25And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Matthew 6:14-15For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

Colossians 3:13Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”

Matthew 5:23-24So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First, be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.”

Walking in Sin

1 John 1:8-10If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

Mark 7:20-23And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

1 John 3:6No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.”

2 Timothy 2:19But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

Walking in Poverty of the Knowledge of the Word of God

Hosea 4:6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children”.

1 Corinthians 2:10-12But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.’

Proverbs 2:10-12When wisdom enters your heart, And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you, To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things.”

Colossians 1:9-10For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

  • Pray that God will release the knowledge of His Word in His church so that the church may walk in wisdom and understanding that will guide the church to be fruitful to glorify God.

  • We can only acquire knowledge by sitting at the altar with the great teacher, the Holy Spirit with our bibles, studying the word as if we are getting ready for an exam that our lives depend on.

  • Lack of understanding of the word of God creates an atmosphere of unnecessary fear and anxiety, doubt, unbelief, unproductivity, poor or stunted spiritual growth.

  • Thank you for praying

Day 11: Evangelism

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ
— Romans 10:10-17

Matthew 28:19-20Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

The great commission is a command that Jesus has given to every believer irrespective of whether they are involved in full time ministry or not. Every true believer in Christ has a responsibility to minister Christ to souls. Souls are perishing every day heading to hell in their numbers and we are all sitting in church waiting for people to enter the church building. Believers are not on the streets anymore because they want to dress well and be in church. If believers must fill the kingdom of God with souls, then they must be ready to take the Gospel to the people and not sit in church waiting and asking God to fill the pews with people.

  • Pray that God will give us an understanding of the great commission. We must go out and not wait for them to come in.

Acts 13:47For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,” ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’’

  • Pray that many will answer this call and shine forth their light to bring salvation to nations of the earth.

Matthew 9:37-38Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

  • Pray that the God of the harvest Himself will send out laborers for His harvest

Acts 1:8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

  • Pray for the Holy Spirit’s anointing upon the laborers for souls.

Isaiah 6:8And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

  • People today do not want to answer the call for evangelism that does not have money value attached to it such as the streets, jails, hospitals etc. Pray that God will stir the heart of the people to answer this call.

Colossians 4:3-4At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.”

  • Pray for an open door for God’s word

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit will teach and direct these laborers to declare the Word with boldness, soundness and clarity so there is no confusion as to what was said.

Zephaniah 1:14-15The Lord’s great day of judgment is almost here; it is approaching very rapidly! There will be a bitter sound on the Lord’s day of judgment; at that time warriors will cry out in battle. That day will be a day of God’s anger, a day of distress and hardship, a day of devastation and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and dark skies.”

  • Sin attracts the wrath of God; we must tell people the truth and not cover their sins. Pray that God will raise true evangelists that will speak the truth about sin and give people the opportunity to repent.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.  By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word, I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”

  • Pray that God will anoint His Word that goes out and encourage the hearers to hold onto and stand on it for that is the only way they can be saved.

  • Pray that the message of evangelism must be focused on the completed work on the cross; Jesus died, Jesus was raised on the third day. It will not be raising the name of the evangelist or some other name.

Matthew 5:15-16Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

  • Pray that believers will desire to share their faith in Christ Jesus irrespective of where they find themselves. May the Lord grant grace to shine the light everywhere.

Luke 4:18The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.”

  • Pray for the anointing by the Spirit of the living God upon the evangelists so that when they speak the Word souls may be liberated.

Isaiah 12: 4In that day you will say: “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.”

  • Pray that through evangelism, the name of the Lord will be exalted in the nations.

  • Thanks for your prayers.

Day 10: Praying for Our Children

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates
— Deuteronomy 6:6-9

We live in the times where the Word of God is gradually being diluted even by those who are supposed to teach the word. Raising up Godly children in this generation is the best legacy any true believer can leave for their children.  Modern-day technology is gradually taking away quality family relationships. Children prefer more time on their electronics then hanging around with parents to learn something about God while assisting in cooking. At schools, the children spend time with peers and teachers talking about the latest gossip on social media. If we must instill spiritual righteousness in the lives of these children, we MUST pray for them, encourage them to create a habit of studying the Word and praying on a routine basis.

1 Samuel 2:26And the boy Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the LORD and with men.”

  • Pray that our children will grow in stature, knowledge, understanding, wisdom of God and His favor IN every aspect of life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 2:15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

  • Pray that our children will desire to study the word of God and allow the word to penetrate them so that they may be equipped to face the challenges the world brings to them.

Isaiah 54:13All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.”

  • Pray that God will arise through the power of the Holy Spirit and teach our children His ways.

2 Timothy 3:14-15But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

  • Pray that God in His mercies will grant grace for them to continue growing and practicing that which they have learned about God.

Psalm 139:13-16For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

  • Declare this word in the lives of our children that they may know how wonderfully God created so don’t live by the way the world wants to frame them. Some of them are bullied, some don’t fit in with their peers, some wants to be drawn into false identifiers.

1 Samuel 17:33-37And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.” But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.” And David said, “The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you!”

  • Pray that God will make great, bold, and strong leaders like David out of our children to stand against the Philistines of their generation

2 Chronicles 34:1-3Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in the ways of David his father, and he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of David his father, and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the Asherim, and the carved and the metal images.”

  • Pray that our children will be bold to declare their faith in Christ and will not allow anyone to despise them because they are young. 1 Timothy 4:12-14Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.”

  • Pray that God will stir a desire in them for the things of God, that they will be sold for God’s kingdom.

Ephesians 6:1-3Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”

  • Pray against the spirit of rebellion in the life of our children, that they will walk in obedience.

3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

  • There is so much joy in God’s heart when we walk in truth. In today’s age, lying seems to be the order of the day. Pray that God will grant grace for them to speak the truth at all times.

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

  • Pray that the plan of God must come to pass in their walk with God, education, calling and marriage.

  • Pray against to craftiness of the enemy; telling them lies about their lives, identify and value.

  • Pray that God will arise and frustrate the plans of the enemy

Jeremiah 1:5Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

  • Pray that they will open their hearts to understand and accept the call of God upon their lives

Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

  • Pray that the blessing of the Lord will rest upon them when they go out and when they come in.

Proverbs 12:26The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.”

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them into choosing their friends

Philippians 4:8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

  • Pray for a heart of excellent and Godly character in every aspect; school, spiritual, friendship, and career etc.

  • Pray for their future; they will keep themselves pure unto the Lord and He will bring them Godly spouses.

Isaiah 54:17No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”

  • Pray against any plan of the enemy over their lives in every aspect of their lives.

2 Samuel 22:3-4My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.”

  • Pray that they will know God for themselves as their God, rock, refuge, shield, salvation, savior, shield and protection.

  • Declare this verse Romans 12:1-2 over them, that it shall come to pass in every aspect of their daily lives.

  • Thank you for praying.

Day 9: Marriage Covenant Restoration

And this second thing you do. You cover the Lord’s altar with tears, with weeping and groaning because he no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand. But you say, “Why does he not?” Because the Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant. Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth. “For the man who does not love his wife but divorces her, says the Lord, the God of Israel, covers his garment with violence, says the Lord of hosts. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and do not be faithless.
— Malachi 2:13-16

Mark 10:8-12And the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” And in the house, the disciples asked him again about this matter. And he said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her, and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

Matthew 19:4-6He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Facts About Marriage

  1. Marriage is God’s ordained Covenant meant to be a lifetime (only death brings separation) relationship between a man and a woman. It was never meant to be for a  season, or reasons, rationales that we see today such as I don’t love her anymore, or what I am getting out of it.

  2. Divorce is not permitted by God because He does not break covenants

  3. Divorce can be permitted ONLY for reasons quoted in Matthew 19:9And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.” However, the bible also talks about forgiveness in Matthew 18:21-22Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.” THEREFORE, THERE SHOULD BE NO DIVORCE. God hates this word.

  4. A married man should NEVER be in a sexual relationship with other women or man

  5. A married woman should NEVER in a sexual relationship with another man or women

  6. Nothing is approved by God between man and man or woman and woman.  Hebrews 13:4Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”

  7. Finally, the rate of divorce in the church is alarming. As intercessors, we must arise and stop this epidemic.

  • Pray that God will uproot the heart of bitterness and separation/divorce and give couples a heart of forgiveness for the maintenance of the altar of marriage

Ephesians 5:21Submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.’

  • Pray that couples will submit to one another out of respect for God, it has nothing to do with them individually.

Colossians 3:14And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”

  • Pray that the God of love will rekindle the fire of love in marriages

1 Chronicles 16:11Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually”.

  • Pray for the desire to seek the Lord continuously and allow His strength to flow through the marriage daily.

Luke 15: 17- 20When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!  I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’  So he got up and went to his father.”

  • Pray that all the prodigal wives and husbands will come back to their covenant homes

Judges 16:4- 5Sometime later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.”

  • Pray that God will arise in His mercies and deliver every husband who has fallen in love with Delilah. Call them back to their wives in the name of Jesus Christ.

Joel 2:12-14Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing—grain offerings and drink offerings for the Lord your God.”

  • Pray that the Husband and wife will come back to the Lord from wherever they may have fallen. There is room for forgiveness at the altar. The Lord is always waiting

Joel 2:24-25The threshing floors will be full of grain, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten-- the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm -- my great army that I sent among you.”

  • Pray that broken marriages will experience attraction again that is filled and outflowing with God’s love and mercies

  • Call on the Lord of the marriage covenant to arise and restore every broken marriage, those hanging on a thread, etc.

Ephesians 6:12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

  • Call forth the fire of God upon powers of darkness working against marriages. Oh, that the fire of God may burn them down to ashes like the land of Sodom and Gomorrah

Micah 2:1Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At morning's light, they carry it out because it is in their power to do it.”

  • Call forth the judgement of God upon all those who sow seeds of wickedness in marriages and plan evil to destroy people's homes.

John 11:43-44When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face.”

  • Stand on the anointing at the tomb of Lazarus and call on the anointed Christ to arise and release that anointing of Life over every broken marriage. For there is nothing too hard for God according to Jeremiah 32:27I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?”

Exodus 22:18Do not allow a sorceress to live.”

  • Call on the fire of God to descend upon owners of every evil altar of witchcraft and their altars erected against marriage. They must be scattered by fire in the name of Jesus Christ.

John 10:10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”

  • Speak life over every broken marriage in the name of Jesus

Psalm 127:3Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from Him.

Psalm 113:9He settles the barren woman in her home, as a joyful mother to her children. Hallelujah!”

  • Pray that the word of God will visit every marriage waiting on God for the fruit of the womb.

Psalm 128: 3Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.”

Jeremiah 23:29Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”

  • Pray that the fire of God be release upon every womb and destroy every barrier and barrenness in the name of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 8:1 "But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded."

  • Pray that God will arise and remember them and cause that every water standing in the way of childbearing will recede in the name of Jesus Christ.

Homosexual Relationship:

Roman 1: 24-27Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way, the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”

Anyone who is involved in this kind of relationship is calling for the wrath of God over them and their household. We must be alert and rise up against such evil that seems to have made its habitation in the church, our homes, and the community. We must denounce it and pray it out of our homes, communities, and churches. We must pray for those who are caught up in this lie of the enemy for God to deliver them and set them free.

  • Pray that God will pouch His church and release His fire upon such altars in the name of Jesus Christ.

  • Pray for a heart of repentance and return to the Lord

  • Pray that God will arise and arrest such hearts in the name of Jesus Christ.

  • Thank God for hearing our cry

Day 8: Beware of the Spirit of Sanballat & Tobiah

When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard about this, they were very much disturbed that someone had come to promote the welfare of the Israelites. But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official and Geshem the Arab heard about it, they mocked and ridiculed us. “What is this you are doing?” they asked. “Are you rebelling against the king?
— Nehemiah 2:10, 19

Nehemiah 4:1-3,7: “When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews, and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said, "What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble-burned as they are?" Tobiah the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, "What they are building-even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones! But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the people of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem's walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry.”

Nehemiah 6:1-8When word came to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab and the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall and not a gap was left in it—though up to that time I had not set the doors in the gates— Sanballat and Geshem sent me this message: “Come, let us meet together in one of the villages on the plain of Ono. ”But they were scheming to harm me; so I sent messengers to them with this reply: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?” Four times they sent me the same message, and each time I gave them the same answer. Then, the fifth time, Sanballat sent his aide to me with the same message, and in his hand was an unsealed letter in which was written: “It is reported among the nations—and Geshem says it is true—that you and the Jews are plotting to revolt, and therefore you are building the wall. Moreover, according to these reports you are about to become their king and have even appointed prophets to make this proclamation about you in Jerusalem: ‘There is a king in Judah!’ Now this report will get back to the king; so come, let us meet together.” I sent him this reply: “Nothing like what you are saying is happening; you are just making it up out of your head.”

The spirit of Sanballat and Tobiah is the spirit of cancer that kills and therefore must be quickly recognized and dealt with else it ends your vision, passion, mission for life or ministry. This spirit operates at the level of families, friendships, workplaces, communities, and the church.

 Characteristics:

  1. Knows how to get information: Beware of who you talk about your life or ministry.

  2. An enemy: Recognize and treat as such

  3. Mocks and ridicules: Don’t give in

  4. Operates out of anger and jealousy: Take note and avoid

  5. Works in collaboration: Be wise and vigilant

  6. Never stops until it fulfills its purpose: Never stop praying and resisting

  7. Knows how to create and spread false narrative: Focus on God

  8. Operates in malice, deceit or hypocrisy, slander and envy: Recognize and run away

  9. Intimidates and create fear: You have not been given the spirt of fear.

Colossians 2:6-8Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.”

  • Pray that we will be rooted in the Lord so that any form of false narratives of the enemy will never persuade or move us.

1 Peter 2 2-3So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”

  • Pray that the Lord will help you put away any form of malice, deceit or hypocrisy, slander, envy that may attack the spirit of Sanballat and Tobiah over you.

2 Corinthians 13:5Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? —unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”

  • Pray for the grace of diligently examining ourselves so that we may recognize when we may be falling away from the faith in Christ Jesus

2 Timothy 1:7For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”  Isaiah 41:10So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

  • Pray that the Spirit of God will overwhelm you and take away any spirt that has intimidated you

Titus 2:11-12For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.”

  • Arise church and let us renounce all these forms of spirit in the church, families, workplace.

Hebrews 12:2Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”

  • Ask the Lord for the grace to look up to Jesus no matter what. He is the only One that matters in life.

1 Kings 18:24And you call upon the name of your god, and I will call upon the name of the Lord, and the God who answers by fire, he is God.” And all the people answered, “It is well spoken.”

Isaiah 66:15For behold, the Lord will come in fire, and his chariots like the whirlwind, to render his anger in fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.”

  • This spirit cannot stay in the church, home, workplace or ministry, we must call on God to answer us by fire and destroy this gangrene. Call on the fire of God to arise.

1 Samuel 2:1, 10Then Hannah prayed and said: My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance. “The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; against them he will thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; he will give strength to his king and exalt the power of his anointed.”

  • This was Hannah’s prayer after the birth of her son Samuel, the enemy cannot stop what God has purposed. We must stand our ground and on the word of God. Pray that your horn will be lifted up and your mouth must boast over your enemies.

  •  Pray that every adversary fighting the blessing of God in any aspect of your life and your ministry be broken into pieces and let the Lord thunder over them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 5:8Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

  • Pray that the enemy will not devour any aspect of your life, ministry, finances, job, family, children etc.

Job 5:12He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success.”

  • Arise and ask God to frustrate every evil plan of the devil over every aspect of your life and ministry.

Luke 12:35Stay dressed for action[a] and keep your lamps burning, 36 and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks.”

  • Ask God for the grace to stay dressed up, being ready and vigilant so when the Lord knocks, you will know He is God and will not open the door for the enemy.

  • Thank God for hearing your cry.

Day 7: Standing with the Persecuted Church

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you
— Matthew 5:10-12

2 Timothy 3:12In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”

  • So interesting how those who walk in freedom take it for granted very often and are very reluctant with the work of God; while those who are being mistreated continue to stand strong despite their circumstances. Persecution is part of Christianity according to 2 Timothy 3:12, if you have not yet suffered, be grateful but be ready. This is the area of the church that needs lots of support both material and spiritual

Matthew 5:10-12Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

  • Declare this blessing over the persecuted believers in the name of Jesus.

Revelation 2:10Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

  • Pray for that God will grant grace to remind faithful despite the suffering

Acts 14:22Strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, "Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God."

  • Pray for strength and the daily word of encouragement from the Lord

1 Peter 4:16Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.”

  • Pray that as they suffer, they will allow the glory of God to shine through them, shame will not shine.

Romans 8:35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?”

  • Pray that God will grant them grace to remember that God’s love for them is stronger than their suffering

Matthew 5:44But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

  • Pray that the love of God in their hearts will flow into those persecuting them so that they will be able to have a heart to forgive and pray for their persecutors.

Colossians 1:9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.”

  • Pray that God will continue to fill them with knowledge, wisdom and understanding of His word so that they may spread His word right.

2 Thessalonians 1:11To this end, we always pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of His calling, and that He will powerfully fulfill your every good desire and work of faith.”

  • Pray that God will always count them worthy of His call, and will fill them with every good that they desire as they do the work of God.

Philippians 4:19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

  • Pray that God will provider for them in every aspect of their lives.

Psalm 119:76May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.”

  • Pray that God’s love will comfort them.

Philippians 1:14And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the LORD and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.”

  • Pray that God will grant the grace to continuously declare the word of God without fear.

  • Thank God for hearing our cry. Thank you for praying.

Day 6: Salvation Cry

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
— Acts 4:12
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast
— Ephesians 2:8-9
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
— Matthew 28:19-20

These bible passages can only be effective if people have given their lives to Christ. A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ and you cannot follow someone you don’t know. Therefore, the first step to becoming a disciple is to surrender to Jesus and let Him be Lord and savior over us.  We pray for the unbelievers in the church, families, neighborhood, nations

Acts 26:17-18I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them, to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”

  • We have been rescued so we may in turn go out to rescue others. One of the ways to assist is to intercede for those who have not accepted Christ. Pray that God will raise intercession to intercede for unbelievers.

2 Corinthians 5:20We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

  • An ambassador is a true representative of a person or nation etc. If we represent Christ, then we must make every effort to understand the way His kingdom operates. Pray that God will help His church to be proper representatives of His nature on earth

Romans 1:16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

  • Pray that Go will raise believers that will stand in boldness to preach the word to the perishing world.

Matthew 9:38Ask the LORD of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

  • Pray that God will raise laborers of souls. Today we have laborers of money, selfish gain, prosperity etc., meanwhile souls are going to hell.

Isaiah 40:3A voice of one calling: "In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Matthew 3:1In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea.”

  • Pray that God will raise the voice of a John the Baptist in our day

1 Peter 3:15But in your hearts revere Christ as LORD. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.’

  • Pray that believers will always be ready to tell people about Jesus as ordered by this bible verse. Most often believers are intimidated probably because they are not walking right with God or lack the word of God and so are not challenged to share the gospel.

Titus 3:5He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”

  • Many people believe that salvation is by good works, but according to this verse it is not. Pray the God will in His mercy remove this mind set from people, so they can be open to receive the free gift of salvation.

Acts 16:30-33Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he was baptized at once, he and all his family.”

  • Pray for an open heart to believe the word of God

John 3:16-18For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

  • Pray for the love of God to move into the hearts of people

John 5:24Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life.”

  • Pray for an open ear to hear and believe the Word of God

Romans 10:9-10If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.”

  • Pray for the power of God to convict souls to open their hearts and confess Jesus

Mathew 16:26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

  • There is nothing we can trade for salvation. Pray for an understanding of the urgency of salvation

2Corithians 4:4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

  • Pray that God will open the eyes of the unbelievers

Mathew 13: 22The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.”

  • Pray that God will touch the hearts if men so they will realize that wealth does not bring salvation.

Romans 12:2Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”

  • Pray for a desire for a mind that can be transformed by the Word for God

2 Corinthians 3:14But their minds were closed. For to this day the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed.”

  • There is always a covering on the minds of the unbelievers, so pray that the fire of God will burn off the covering

Ephesians 4:18They are darkened in their understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.”

  • Pray for a revelation of the Word of God for the need of salvation to unbelievers.

2 Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

  • Declare this word that Jesus the light of the world will shine forth in the hearts of unbelievers; that they may come to have knowledge of the Word of God and the understanding of  the need for salvation

Isaiah 42:16I will lead the blind by a way they did not know; I will guide them on unfamiliar paths. I will turn darkness into light before them and rough places into level ground. These things I will do for them, and I will not forsake them.”

  • Declare this word upon every soul that needs salvation

  • Thank God for hearing our cry.

Day 5: God's Authority in the Hand of a Believer

And He was given dominion, glory, and kingship, so that every people, nation, and language should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
— Daniel 7:14
Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth
— Philippians 2:9-10
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
— Luke 10:19

How do we exercise authority?

Below are 11 basic principles that can help us exercise that authority.

  1. Recognize the source of the authority: Mathew 28:18-20Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” God gave His authority to His son. God expects that this authority given to His son will also flow through His church. 2 Thessalonians 1:12 says “so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Because we are in Christ, He has given us access to the same authority; Matthew 16:19 also “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” The key is the word of God and prayer; they can be used to open the heavenly door and have access to the throne room of the Father.

  2. Submit to the heavenly authority: James 4:7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” It’s only when we walk in total surrender that we are able to walk under God’s authority and are able to resist the enemy. Jesus walked under the authority of His Father while on earth and was able to defeat Satan.

  3. Stay connected to the source of the authority: John 15: 1-8I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”  The leaf of the tree can remain fresh only when it’s still connected to the tree. After it falls off the tree it last only for a very short while because the tree was the source of its survival. Same principle with us and God. Jesus Came that we may have life and in abundance, the moment we are not connected in Him, there is nothing for us to boast about.

  4. Speak the word of God from your tongue: Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Hebrews 4:12-13For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Matthew 18:18-20Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

  5. Trained your spiritual ears to hear God: John 10:27My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”

  6.  Be in turned with the Spirit of God: John 16:13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”

  7.  Stop the gangrene of sin: 1 John 3:8Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” Zechariah 3:3-4Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.”

  8.  Always present yourself as a living and holy sacrifice to God: Romans 12:1-2Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

  9.  Put on the full armor of God: Ephesians 6:10-17Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

  10.  Pray in the Spirit and be alert: Ephesians 6: 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

  11.  Be watchful: 1 Peter 5:8Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

Day 4: Deliver Me Oh Lord

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
— 1 Chronicles 4:10

There comes a time when enough is enough and you just want to get to the bottom of things and seek God for deliverance. Jabez was in that kind of a place where he was just tired of what was going on in his life, an identity that had nothing to do with him but his mother. He did not focus on blaming the mother, but he went straight to God who put him in the womb of his mother.

Palms 34:17When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”

Psalm 139:14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” There is absolutely nothing wrong with the way God created us in the womb. It’s after the creation that the enemy always attacks.

  • Pray and ask God to break every power that has hindered you from manifesting the way you were created, wonderful, beautiful etc.

Psalm 142: 1-7 “I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.”

  • Ask the Lord to restore the blessings that was yours from creation.

  • Ask the Lord to enlarge your territory.

  • Ask the Lord to be with you and protect you from harm.

  • Ask the Lord to free you from any pain of distress of life.

Genesis 32: 24-28 “So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak. “But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” The man asked him, “What is your name?” “Jacob,” he answered. Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

It was not easy with Jacob, he wrestled (struggled) with the angel of the Lord for his deliverance. Jacob the deceiver was changed to Israel the nation; what a difference? All because he took matters into his hands; he had a family issue he was afraid of, the brother who was waiting to kill him. He was also fleeing from Laban his father in-law. Jacob came to the place where he could face his own fear. He wrestled with God for his freedom, he was not ready to quit the presence of God without a solution to his problem.

  • Ask the angel of the Lord to visit and deliver you

Daniel 3:22-25The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.” He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

  • Ask for the faith of these four boys to be your portion.

  • Ask for the 4th man in the fire to arise and delivery you from any pit where the enemy may have held you.

Acts 16:25-26And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.”

  • Call for the earthquake of heaven to shake the foundations of the earth and release you from every demonic jail in the name of Jesus

Joel 2:32And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.”

  • Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord has a chance to be delivered. Call on the Lord from Zion for him to rescue you.

Day 3: The Promise Cannot Fail

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you
— Isaiah 54:10

Joshua 21:45Not one of all the LORD's good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.” This year may have been the year where you were expecting a harvest of some sort. However, its almost the end of the year and it seems God has not yet reached you.  You are at a place of giving up your ability to wait. Read the above verse again and remember that God is still seated on the throne. Proverbs 23:18 says “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off”. If God promises, all you need to do is hold onto it and not exchange it for doubt and unbelief. We must hold on until our very last breath. He does everything out of His love for us.

Ephesians 1:3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

  • This is an established fact, ask God to unfold every hidden blessing that was supposed to have reached you this season.

Jeremiah 33:20-21 "This is what the LORD says: 'If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at their appointed time, then My covenant with David My servant--and My covenant with the Levites who are priests ministering before Me--can be broken and David will no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne.”

  • Remind the Lord about the covenant He has with you. If no body can alter the day and night, then God’s promises cannot be altered. It can be delayed but never altered.

Psalm 105:8-11He remembers His covenant forever, the word that He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant that He made with Abraham, His sworn promise to Isaac, which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.”

  • There was a word that was spoken when you were formed in the womb of your mother, call on to the Lord to arise and remember you and bring that word to pass in this season.

Numbers 23:19God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”

  • What has He spoken? Call it forth, He is not a man.

Luke 1:8-13Once when Zechariah’s division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.”

  • Where are you positioned while waiting in expectation of the promise? Zechariah was at his spiritual duty and the angel of the Lord found him there. Can you even imagine what it was like ministering to others while your own problem was right in your face? We must trust God like the people of old. Ask the Lord to help you stay at your duty post while waiting for the promise.

Genesis 8:1But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.”

  • Ask the Lord to remember you and cause that any thing holding you on one spot must dry up in the name of Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

  • Your delay may be related to the fact that you don’t even know His plans for your life. Pray for a revelation of His plans over your life and call them to come forth in their season.

Judges 16:27-28Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform. Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.”

  • Even at the last hour God does not change. The Philistines had gathered and were watching Samson (a movie) from afar but Samson did not forget who he was and who his God was. He cried for help and sure enough God showed up.

Daniel 6:19-22At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

  • At the break of day the enemy thinks he is winning. Pray that the Lord will arise and recuse you from whatever lion’s den that the enemy is trying to cage you in.

Numbers 6:25the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.”

  • Pray that the Lord will shine over every aspect of your life.

Ephesians 5:20Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

  • Give thanks to the Lord for hearing you today

Day 2: A Cry for Forgiveness and Mercy

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
— Proverbs 28:13

God’s forgiveness and mercy is available when we open up to God and lay the sin bear before His throne.  Whatever it is, the weight, time, how it happened, the cause etc. does not matter to God. Spiritual prosperity and mercy come to a heart that has been open to exchange the sin with God’s mercy. As a church, we have gone astray like sheep, it’s only the mercy of God that will deliver us, but we must approach Him ready to open up and confess. That is when mercy flows. Hebrews 4:16 says “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

  • Ask God for mercy and forgiveness over every personal sin.

Mathew 18:20-22Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.”

  • Forgive and release any person that has ever offended you, irrespective of what he/she did.

Isaiah 59:1-2Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”

Do you wonder why the church is lukewarm? 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

  • Ask God to forgive us and show mercy

Ezekiel 36:25-26I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

  • Ask God to release the power of His word over the church to cleanse us. Ask the Lord to remove the heart of stone and give us, the church, a new heart, a new spirit that is able to receive His word and walk in it.

Jeremiah 31:34And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

2 Kings 17: 7-20For so it was that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and they had feared other gods,  and had walked in the statutes of the nations whom the Lord had cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.  Also the children of Israel secretly did against the Lord their God things that were not right, and they built for themselves high places in all their cities, from watchtower to fortified city.  They set up for themselves sacred pillars and wooden images on every high hill and under every green tree. There they burned incense on all the high places, like the nations whom the Lord had carried away before them; and they did wicked things to provoke the Lord to anger,  for they served idols, of which the Lord had said to them, “You shall not do this thing.” Yet the Lord testified against Israel and against Judah, by all of His prophets, every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets.”  Nevertheless they would not hear, but stiffened their necks, like the necks of their fathers, who did not believe in the Lord their God. And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them; they followed idols, became idolaters, and went after the nations who were all around them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them that they should not do like them. So they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, made for themselves a molded image and two calves, made a wooden image and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.  And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from His sight; there was none left but the tribe of Judah alone. Also Judah did not keep the commandments of the Lord their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.  And the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel, afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of plunderers, until He had cast them from His sight.”

  • Asking God for forgiveness and mercy upon the church

Ezekiel 34: 1-10And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered. My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.” ‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:  “As I live,” says the Lord God, “surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock”—  therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord!  Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.”

  • Asking God for forgiveness and mercy upon the church leaders. Sometimes I can only imagine what God thinks about all the hopelessness of the people caused by poor, selfish, and wicked church leaders.

Psalm 33:12Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage.”

Isaiah 60:12For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste.”

Proverbs 14:34Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Isaiah 1:4 Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are utterly estranged.”

  • Asking God for forgiveness and mercy over the nations. We are living in very interesting times and it seems sin is the order of the sin in every nation. We need the mercy of God.

2 Chronicles 36:11-14Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord his God. He did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke from the mouth of the Lord. He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. He stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord, the God of Israel. All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.”

  • Ask for mercy on behalf of the leaders in the nations. Leaders of most nations have sold themselves to self-centeredness, wickedness, and witchcraft. They have not bothered about the plight of the widows, orphans, children etc.
