Preparatory Prayers for Retreat 2021

Philippians 1:19 “For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance”.

Matthew 22:37 And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”.

We are commanded to love God, so Pray that our hearts will be convicted to love God with everything within us not just by word of our lips. Without love we cannot do anything with God.

Zechariah 4:6Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts”.

Pray that this retreat will not depend on the arm of a man but will be led by the Spirit of God only.

Romans 8:11 “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

Pray that the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will arise in the church again and give life to every mortal body.

Ephesians 3:16-17 “That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love.”

Pray for the move of the Holy Spirit to strengthen the church with power and enable Christ to be fully formed and dwell in his church.

2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”

Pray that the power of God’s glory will flow through us and transformed us into his image.

Acts 13:46 “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Pray that we will be illuminated so that are we go back to our respective destinations, shine forth, and bring salvation to those around us where ever we go.

Psalm 2: 1-3Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, ‘Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.’ He who sits in the heavens laughs; the LORD holds them in derision.”

Pray that those who mock and plan evil against the work of God will be mocked and laughed at by the Lord

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”

Pray that we will have a taste and desire the knowledge of God’s word. Pray for our hearts to be ready to receive and believe the word of God.

Ezekiel 1:3 “The word of the LORD came directly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the River Kebar. And there the LORD's hand was upon him.”

Pray that God will release his word directly to every speaker and that his hand will rest upon them through the weekend of the retreat.

Pray that the people will receive the word of God unaltered through this ministry; the word that reveals the knowledge of God.

John 10:27-28 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.”

Pray that as we spend time in God’s presence. That we will be able to hear his voice when he speaks to us.

Jeremiah 1:17Get yourself ready. Stand up and tell them everything that I command you. Do not be intimidated by them, or I will terrify you before them”.

Pray against the spirit of fear and intimidation. Pray that we will arise and follow God’s command in whatever he is calling us to do.

Deuteronomy 18:18,19 “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”

Pray that as we prepare in the presence of God, he will stir within us the gifts that he has placed in us so that we will go forth and speak his word just as he commands without any addition.

Romans 12:1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

Pray that our sacrifice which is our bodies will be presented alive and holy so that God will accept us and receive our prayers.

Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Pray that as we get ready for the retreat, we will allow the word of God to create within us a new mind that is aligned with the plan of God for our lives so that we will be able to discern his good will for us.

Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

Pray that as we prepare, the power of God that was promised to the Apostles in the book of Acts will be our portion.

Joel 2:28 “It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions.”

Pray for an outpour of the spirit of the Lord upon each and every one during this season of prayers.

Isaiah 61:1The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners”

Pray for the anointing that liberates souls will break the power of affliction, heal the brokenhearted, set the captives free, heal the sick, and brings salvation to the people Jesus died for.

Deuteronomy 31:12-13 “Assemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the sojourner within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as you live in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”

Pray that the retreat will be a gathering of all. Pray that ears that will hear the word of God, fear him, and be careful to keep his word.

Pray for our children, that they will hear God’s word, hide it in their hearts and walk with it in their daily lives.

Jeremiah 24:7 “I will give them a heart to know that I am the LORD, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.”

Declare this prayer - Jeremiah 24:7 over our children.

Isaiah 37:36Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.”

Pray that the Lord will release angelic helpers to go forth and destroy all the enemies of our lives and the retreat.

Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

Stand upon the authority of God’s word and speak unto the rulers, authorities, cosmic power, and spiritual forces of evil, that their wickedness will not be permitted around us and the retreat.

Psalm 145:18When the peace of Christ rules in our hearts, thankfulness overflows. Even in the darkest of times, we can praise God for his love, his sovereignty, and his promise to be near us when we call.”

Let us thank him for hearing us, being so faithful and kind to us even before we get to the retreat.

Revelation 4:11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

Finally, pray that above and through it all, as we prepare and spend the weekend with the Lord during this retreat, ONLY him alone be gloried.
