It is important to note that as we come into the presence of the Lord during this season of prayers/fasting, we must recognized that giving thanks is the key to draw the attention of Heaven on earth. Psalm 9:1 “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.” As we come before the Lord to begin our transitional prayers/fasting, let us come with an undivided heart whole and truly surrendered to the Lord. It is time of reflect on the goodness of God. He has been good to us that is why we are still here. Giving thanks is an expectation that God cherishes so much and contribute to the gateway of divine blessing. Romans 1:21 “For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened”. We do not want to become foolish like those mention here in Romans 1:21. Psalm 100: 4-5 “4Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! 5For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” It is expected to be thankful, we have no any other option.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
Thank God for every day of this year 2023. It may have not been the way we wanted but we are here today. The bible verse says give thanks in ALL circumstances; good or bad. The challenges may have come to bring strength.
1 Corinthians 1: 4 “I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus”

Colossians 2: 6-7 “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”
Thank God for what Jesus did on the cross; completed even without sin. We must be grateful that after Jesus went on the cross it did not end there. We are called to walk, rooted, built, and established in faith in Jesus Christ.
Psalm 50:14 “Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High”
Giving thanks to God is an offer. Bring your sacrifice before God and offer to him with a clean heart.
2 Corinthians 2: 14 “But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.” Thank God for partnering with us in doing his work here on earth; spreading the fragrance of his love where ever we go. Every life you may have toughed this year is because Jesus was leading the way.
Hebrew 12:28 “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.” Thanks God for the privileged to be partakers of an unshakable kingdom and therefore right so to say thank you Lord.
Daniel 2: 23 “To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king's matter.” Thank God for wisdom and strength given to us as we navigate life.
John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Thank God for his love for the nations of the earth, for his love towards mankind.
Psalms 136:1-3 “ 1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever. 2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. 3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever.”
Thank God for he is good at all times, irrespective of the times and the season.
Ruth 2:12 “The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!” Thank God for all the ministers of the gospel, for providing, strengthening, and sharpening them in the word so that they are able to produce.
Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Thank God that He is in our midst during this whole year to save us from every disaster of the enemy.
