Day 3: The Promise Cannot Fail

For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you
— Isaiah 54:10

Joshua 21:45Not one of all the LORD's good promises to Israel failed; everyone was fulfilled.” This year may have been the year where you were expecting a harvest of some sort. However, its almost the end of the year and it seems God has not yet reached you.  You are at a place of giving up your ability to wait. Read the above verse again and remember that God is still seated on the throne. Proverbs 23:18 says “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off”. If God promises, all you need to do is hold onto it and not exchange it for doubt and unbelief. We must hold on until our very last breath. He does everything out of His love for us.

Ephesians 1:3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

  • This is an established fact, ask God to unfold every hidden blessing that was supposed to have reached you this season.

Jeremiah 33:20-21 "This is what the LORD says: 'If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at their appointed time, then My covenant with David My servant--and My covenant with the Levites who are priests ministering before Me--can be broken and David will no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne.”

  • Remind the Lord about the covenant He has with you. If no body can alter the day and night, then God’s promises cannot be altered. It can be delayed but never altered.

Psalm 105:8-11He remembers His covenant forever, the word that He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant that He made with Abraham, His sworn promise to Isaac, which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.”

  • There was a word that was spoken when you were formed in the womb of your mother, call on to the Lord to arise and remember you and bring that word to pass in this season.

Numbers 23:19God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”

  • What has He spoken? Call it forth, He is not a man.

Luke 1:8-13Once when Zechariah’s division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.”

  • Where are you positioned while waiting in expectation of the promise? Zechariah was at his spiritual duty and the angel of the Lord found him there. Can you even imagine what it was like ministering to others while your own problem was right in your face? We must trust God like the people of old. Ask the Lord to help you stay at your duty post while waiting for the promise.

Genesis 8:1But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.”

  • Ask the Lord to remember you and cause that any thing holding you on one spot must dry up in the name of Jesus.

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

  • Your delay may be related to the fact that you don’t even know His plans for your life. Pray for a revelation of His plans over your life and call them to come forth in their season.

Judges 16:27-28Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform. Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.”

  • Even at the last hour God does not change. The Philistines had gathered and were watching Samson (a movie) from afar but Samson did not forget who he was and who his God was. He cried for help and sure enough God showed up.

Daniel 6:19-22At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.”

  • At the break of day the enemy thinks he is winning. Pray that the Lord will arise and recuse you from whatever lion’s den that the enemy is trying to cage you in.

Numbers 6:25the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.”

  • Pray that the Lord will shine over every aspect of your life.

Ephesians 5:20Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

  • Give thanks to the Lord for hearing you today
