One major characteristic of our God is the fact that He hears, listens, and answers us when we call unto Him. 1 Peter 3:12 “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." This is comforting to know that we are not praying to an image or something. We pray to the creator of the universe whose eyes are on us and ears attentive to our prayers. He does not only see us and hear but he also answers us according to Psalm 65: 2 “You who answer prayer, to you all people will come”. We must come to the place where we bring our problem before God and cry to Him for help knowing that He sees, hear and will answer us at His time. Exodus 2:23 “After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned and cried out under their burden of slavery, and their cry for deliverance from bondage ascended to God.” We come into the place of prayer in confidence according to Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 10:35-36 “Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.” God expects us to bring our request to Him and He answers us based on His will for us. No one can question Him. Romans 9:20 “But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?” As we trust the Lord to hear our cry, we stand on His promises as in Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Knowing that God cannot and will never forsake His own. He is faithful in everything He does. When we pray, we should remember this verse Numbers 23:19 “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?’ When does not answer at our time or the way we wanted, that does not change who he says he is.
NOTE:
Today we will focus on our individual prayer points. During the 9pm prayer line we will pray on them accordingly. Some of you did already send your prayer points to me.
Pray that God’s covenant with the church will not be tempered with. Deuteronomy 7:9 “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.”
Pray that we will not be rejected by the Lord, but that we will ALL enter His kingdom by grace. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.”
Pray that the Lord will arise and restore health and bring healing over His body. Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!”
Ask the Lord to send help for deliverance from any philistine who has been a torn in your flesh. 1 Samuel 9:16 "At this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you are to anoint him leader over My people Israel; he will deliver them from the hand of the Philistines. For I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to Me."
