Every human being needs someone in life. Isolation usually leads to depression. In everything we do in life, there is a need for support. It is very important to understand the kind of support one has. One can get the support that leads to death or the one that leads to life. Any support that is guided by the Holy Spirit is what we should seek. Without the support of these amazing men: Moses, Aaron, and Hur ( Exodus 17:11-13), setting up a spiritual support network (Prayer), the outcome of the war of the Amalekites and Israelites could have been a disaster. God knows that man is the conduit he uses for his work on earth. He demonstrated and exemplified this by sending Jesus on the earth in human form (John 1:14, Philippians 2:7). Jesus went to the cross and died and was buried in human form, with the purpose of bringing man back to God (Mark 15:39). It should be noted that although God needs man, Satan is also interested in accomplishing his wickedness through man; the same conduit. God had declared victory for the Amalekites, but he needed to package that through his earthly office(Conduit). He then looked for Moses and asked him to go in his presence so that they could talk (Prayers). Exodus 19: 9b Moses states “I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.” God got Aron and Hur involved as he knew this was the way the battle would be worn. The battle was won as long as these three men played their part.
According to Ephesians 4:11-12, God has called men and women to occupy different offices so that they can be the conduit through which He will train other conduits with the goal of everyone becoming like Christ; walking in love, unity, knowledge, and growth in every aspect of Christ. This is not an easy task, as the enemy understands and fights this mission of becoming like Christ. However, we also know that Jesus won the war against Satan on the cross. God needs conduits like Moses, Hur, and Aaron who will connect with him on the mountain. Luke 6:12 “One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.” This is the place where victory is released.
Today, God is still looking for conduits called intercessors, with whom he can communicate and pour upon the grace to pray for and support the men and women he has called. I find it interesting when people spend time and energy criticizing men and women of God, instead of praying for them. You can get rid of a behavior on your knees, not your mouth.
Prayer Points
Pray that the ministers of the Gospel will give themselves to pray; and that they will pray being led by the spirit and pray in the spirit: Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart” Luke 18:1. “Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18
Pray for commitment in the word of God: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
There is the grace that is available upon those God has called into ministry: Pray for the release of that grace: Pray that ministers will be well-positioned to receive that grace: “However, I have written you a bold reminder on some points, because of the grace God has given me to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Therefore I exult in Christ Jesus in my service to God.” Romans 15 15-17
Pray for the grace to intercede: Exodus 17:11-13
Pray the grace to grow and yield fruits in the 5 fold ministry: Ephesians 4:11-2
Pray that every called minister will desire to present themselves at the altar - where God molds and shapes and equips: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1-2
Pray for boldness in ministering the Word empowered by the Holy Spirit and not by knowledge of man: “When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they marveled and took note that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
Pray that the Word taught will be that which has been commanded by God and directed by the Holy Spirit: “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20
Pray for the grace to guide the flock, as this can be very challenging: “Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness.” 1 Peter 5:2
Pray against the enemy that has entered the church and scattered the sheep because of poor leadership: “But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD'S flock is carried away captive” Jeremiah 13:17,20
Pray for the grace that will take the ministers to the finish line just like Paul, and that they will finish well: “But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24
Pray for an outpour of the anointing over ministers; to preach this gospel of deliverance, setting the captive free and demonstrating the power of God through signs and wonders: “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners.” Isaiah 61:1
Pray for an impartation of wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of the things of the Spirit of God: “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him--the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD.” Isaiah 11:2
Pray that they receive the grace to walk in faithfulness and righteousness: “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty[a]; walk before me faithfully and be blameless.” Genesis 17:1
Pray that God will equip them with the grace that brings forth the physical demonstrations of the power of God: “So He replied, "Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.” Luke 7:22
Pray that God will transform the hearts of these vessels: “Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding." Jeremiah 3:15
Pray that God himself will arise and deal with those who have misused the grace: “ The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to you shepherds of Israel who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd, and when they were scattered they became food for all the wild animals. My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. They were scattered over the whole earth, and no one searched or looked for them.” Ezekiel 34:1-7
