It is time to sound our prayer alarm and call on the Lord to remember us this week, as he said this year we will go after our enemies, overtake them, and be successful (1 Samuel 30:8).
As believers in the Lord, we must know that we don’t just get up in the morning and found free access to everything. We walk by faith and part of that is standing in that faith to confront anything that stands against our destinies which the enemy will never allow us to walk into it easily. Life is war and the good news is that we are fighting a battle that Jesus already won for us on the cross (Colossians 2:15).
Therefore, based on the truth of God’s word I encourage you today with the following:
POSITION and STAND in Christ who won the battle on your behavior. Do not fear for he has not given you the spirit of fear: 2 Chronicles 20:17 “You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.”
Plead with God for a covering over us on this day of battle, we will not be wounded in the battlefield: Psalm 3:3 “But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. ” Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold”.
Ask for the grace of mercy from the throne of God’s grace. May the Lord focus on us this week: Psalm 9:13 “Be merciful to me, O LORD; see how my enemies afflict me! Lift me up from the gates of death,
Stand against fear: As we war this week, this is when the enemy will arise and attack, we cannot lose our focus and be afraid. We may have dreams that make us feel things are worse. Be encouraged and fire on, that is the enemy’s tactics: 2 Chronicles 20:15 “and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.” Jeremiah 1:19 “They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares the Lord.
Ask the Lord to train you for battle this week. He knows the specific tools for your specific battle: Psalm 18:34 “He trains my hands for battle So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” Psalm 144:1 “Blessed be the Lord, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle”
Ask the Lord for strength: Proverbs 24:10 “If you faint in the day of distress, how small is your strength! We must gain strength in the Lord in the place of battle. Psalm 18: 39 “For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me.” Luke 14:31” Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?” Joshua 14:11 “I am still as strong today as I was in the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so my strength is now, for war and for going out and coming in.” 2 Samuel 3:1 “Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; and David grew steadily stronger, but the house of Saul grew weaker continually.
As you cry out to the Lord tell the Lord that because your trust is in him, everyone of your enemies will be given into your hands, none will escape: 1 Chronicles 5:20 “They were helped against them, and the Hag rites and all who were with them were given into their hand; for they cried out to God in the battle, and He answered their prayers because they trusted in Him.”
Ask the Lord for grace as you stand in the victory in Christ and confront those satanic powers, forces of the dark world, spiritual forces of wickedness in the heaven that want to make your life miserable. Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
We have been blessed in the heavenly realms in Christ: Ephesians 1: 3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Therefore, plead with the Lord to issue a command according to Psalm 147:15 “He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly” for the release of your blessing from any powers in Heaven and earth holding them (breakthroughs, prayers you may have prayers, your marriage, children, jobs, finances, etc).
We must call on the fire of God upon any power, persons, thing, etc holding us or anything that belongs to us: Jeremiah 23:29 –“ Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces”? Exodus 15:7 “You overthrew Your adversaries by Your great majesty. You unleashed Your burning wrath; it consumed them like stubble.
Pray again this time let the fire of God be released upon altar holding your blessing: Deuteronomy 4:24 “For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Amos 1:10 – “But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.”
Thank the Lord for victory on day one: Psalm 7:17 - I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.” Ephesians 5:20 – “Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
