2022 Pursue, Overtake and Succeed: Day 2 Prayer and fasting

“The Lord will go forth like a warrior; He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.”
— Isaiah 42:13

The enemy can fight but he cannot prevail because our God is a mighty warrior. When our God fights he always wins and never loses a battle. On this DAY TWO we must be confident “for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” Deuteronomy 20:4. In the mist of all our enemies, irrespective of the size, the Lord our God is mighty/powerful and he is the one going with us. The word of God cannot fail, so today receive the grace to believe his word and stand in it in the place of prayer. As we wage war today we should also be confident that he is protecting us as stated “The Lord was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.” Exodus 13:21

We must therefore arise in the power of the word of God and pray. If we can PRAY as commanded, God can answer as he PROMISED.

Plead with God for the grace that releases his favor in the time of war: 2 Kings 13:4’ Then Jehoahaz sought the favor of the LORD, and the LORD listened to him because He saw the oppression that the king of Aram had inflicted on Israel”.

Pray that the grace for favor that was upon Esther will visit us today as we stay in the presence of God  with our request. We are asking that God will revoke every written schemes of the enemy against us. Pray that the blood of Jesus will blot anything written even if it legal: Esther 8:5 “"If it pleases the king," she said, "and if I have found favor in his sight, and the matter seems proper to the king, and I am pleasing in his sight, may an order be written to revoke the letters that the scheming Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king's provinces.

Pray that every pharaoh or his representatives/collaborators along with their chariots, horses and the entire army group and everything else they have must fall like stone and drawn in the red sea. Call on the Lord to display the power and victory of his right hand to arise and shatter these stubborn enemy and all he represents:  Exodus 15: 3- 6 “3The LORD is a warrior, the LORD is His name. 4Pharaoh’s chariots and army He has cast into the sea; the finest of his officers are drowned in the Red Sea. 5The depths have covered them; they sank there like a stone. 6Your right hand, O LORD, is majestic in power; Your right hand, O LORD, has shattered the enemy”. Exodus 14:28 “And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

It is possible for the battle to bring us to the position of helplessness, pain and suffering, closer to death. There is also a position in Christ where we can call on God and cry out the pain and he will hear the pain in our voices. This is David describing what he went through in the hand of the enemy. Psalm 18: 4-14  “4 Death bound me with chains, and the floods of ungodliness mounted a massive attack against me. 5 Trapped and helpless, I struggled against the ropes that drew me on to death. 6 In my distress I screamed to the Lord for his help. And he heard me from heaven; my cry reached his ears. 7 Then the earth rocked and reeled, and mountains shook and trembled. How they quaked! For he was angry 8 Fierce flames leaped from his mouth, setting fire to the earth; smoke blew from his nostrils. 9 He bent the heavens down and came to my defense; thick darkness was beneath his feet. 10 Mounted on a mighty angel, he sped swiftly to my aid with wings of wind. 11 He enshrouded(Hide) himself with darkness, veiling his approach with dense clouds dark as murky waters. 12 Suddenly the brilliance of his presence broke through the clouds with lightning[e] and a mighty storm of hail.13 The Lord thundered in the heavens; the God above all gods has spoken—oh, the hailstones; oh, the fire! 14 He flashed his fearful arrows of lightning and routed all my enemies.”

We must understand that this is not the kind of suffering that has just arrived. It has been there for decades unnoticed, making us to move in circles thinking all is well. It is like a goat tired on a tree with grass to feed on but the goat is not free (TIRED) although there is grass (FOOD). Jesus has set us free (John 8:36), thus we must go totally, cutting off every ripe that wants to tire us to the place of bondage. Exodus 3:6Then He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. 7The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the affliction of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings. 8I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. 9And now the cry of the Israelites has reached Me, and I have seen how severely the Egyptians are oppressing them 10Therefore, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring My people the Israelites out of Egypt”.

David was comfortable going to war against his enemies because he knew God had gone ahead and disable them, burn all their charms, altars, and what makes them strong. God has not change, he will do same for us. Call on him today his word. Deuteronomy 9:3-4 “3But understand that today the LORD your God goes across ahead of you as a consuming fire; He will destroy them and subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them swiftly, as the LORD has promised you.4When the LORD your God has driven them out before you, do not say in your heart, “Because of my righteousness the LORD has brought me in to possess this land.” Rather, the LORD is driving out these nations before you because of their wickedness”. Deuteronomy 31:3 “The LORD your God Himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will dispossess them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said

Pray that every enemies name listed in the past, present and future must be erased by the blood of Jesus: They must not exist: Deuteronomy 7:24 “He will hand their kings over to you, and you will wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand against you; you will annihilate them. Every witch must die. Exodus 22:18 “18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Leviticus 20:27 “A man or a woman who is a medium or spiritist must surely be put to death. They shall be stoned; their blood is upon them.'"

Plead with God about this verse and turn it into prayer: Habakkuk 3:11- 13 “11Sun and moon stood still in their places at the flash of Your flying arrows, at the brightness of Your shining spear. 12You marched across the earth with fury; You threshed the nations in wrath. 13You went forth for the salvation of Your people, to save Your anointed. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked and stripped him from head to toe.

2022 Pursue, Overtake and Succeed: Day 1 Prayer and fasting

“When you go to war in your land against the adversary who attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the Lord your God, and be saved from your enemies.”
— Numbers 10:9

It is time to sound our prayer alarm and call on the Lord to remember us this week, as he said this year we will go after our enemies, overtake them, and be successful (1 Samuel 30:8).

As believers in the Lord, we must know that we don’t just get up in the morning and found free access to everything. We walk by faith and part of that is standing in that faith to confront anything that stands against our destinies which the enemy will never allow us to walk into it easily. Life is war and the good news is that we are fighting a battle that Jesus already won for us on the cross (Colossians 2:15).

Therefore, based on the truth of God’s word I encourage you today with the following:

POSITION and STAND in Christ who won the battle on your behavior. Do not fear for he has not given you the spirit of fear:  2 Chronicles 20:17 “You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out to face them, for the Lord is with you.”

Plead with God for a covering over us on this day of battle, we will not be wounded in the battlefield: Psalm 3:3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. ” Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold”.

Ask for the grace of mercy from the throne of God’s grace. May the Lord focus on us this week: Psalm 9:13 “Be merciful to me, O LORD; see how my enemies afflict me! Lift me up from the gates of death,

Stand against fear: As we war this week, this is when the enemy will arise and attack, we cannot lose our focus and be afraid. We may have dreams that make us feel things are worse. Be encouraged and fire on, that is the enemy’s tactics: 2 Chronicles 20:15 “and he said, “Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the Lord to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.” Jeremiah 1:19 “They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares the Lord.

Ask the Lord to train you for battle this week. He knows the specific tools for your specific battle: Psalm 18:34 “He trains my hands for battle So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.” Psalm 144:1 “Blessed be the Lord, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle”

Ask the Lord for strength: Proverbs 24:10 “If you faint in the day of distress, how small is your strength! We must gain strength in the Lord in the place of battle.  Psalm 18: 39 “For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me.” Luke 14:31” Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?” Joshua 14:11 “I am still as strong today as I was in the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so my strength is now, for war and for going out and coming in.” 2 Samuel 3:1 “Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; and David grew steadily stronger, but the house of Saul grew weaker continually.

As you cry out to the Lord tell the Lord that because your trust is in him, everyone of your enemies will be given into your hands, none will escape: 1 Chronicles 5:20 “They were helped against them, and the Hag rites and all who were with them were given into their hand; for they cried out to God in the battle, and He answered their prayers because they trusted in Him.”

Ask the Lord for grace as you stand in the victory in Christ and confront those satanic powers, forces of the dark world, spiritual forces of wickedness in the heaven that want to make your life miserable. Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

We have been blessed in the heavenly realms in Christ: Ephesians 1: 3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Therefore, plead with the Lord to issue a command according to Psalm 147:15 “He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly” for the release of your blessing from any powers in Heaven and earth holding them (breakthroughs, prayers you may have prayers, your marriage, children, jobs, finances, etc).

We must call on the fire of God upon any power, persons, thing, etc holding us or anything that belongs to us: Jeremiah 23:29 –“ Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces”? Exodus 15:7 “You overthrew Your adversaries by Your great majesty. You unleashed Your burning wrath; it consumed them like stubble.

Pray again this time let the fire of God be released upon altar holding your blessing:  Deuteronomy 4:24 “For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Amos 1:10 – “But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.”

Thank the Lord for victory on day one: Psalm 7:17 - I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.” Ephesians 5:20 – “Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
