2023 Retreat Preparatory Prayers - Day 13: Praying for Wives of Ministers

“The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

— Genesis 2:18

We all know that the role of a wife is to help the husband fulfill his purpose in life. The purpose of God is found in his word. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” The woman stands alongside the man for the manifestation of God’s word to ensure that God’s purpose is fulfilled. A woman married to a minister has so many responsibilities and it’s unfortunate that the body of Christ may have neglected this aspect of the ministry. As intercessors, we must hold their hands at the altar of prayer.

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Pray that the Lord will strengthen every woman married to a servant of God.

Titus 2:4-5 “And so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” Pray that God will pour the grace of mentorship upon every wife.

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope”. Pray that God will fill them up with his joy, peace, and the power of the Holy Spirit so that they are able do God’s work with grace.

Isaiah 49:2 “He has made my mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver.” Pray that every aspect of this bible verse will be their portion as they stand in the place of prayer, their mouths will become sharp swords against the enemy. While praying the Lord will protect them and they will always be God’s choice arrows of war.

Isaiah 59:21 "As for Me, this is My covenant with them," says the LORD. "My Spirit will not depart from you, and My words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and grandchildren, from now on and forevermore," says the LORD.” Pray that the Spirit of the Lord will not depart from these wives so that they are empowered to release the word of God from their mouths to all the spiritual and biological children God has given them.

Ephesians 1:17 “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” Pray that God will grant them wisdom to be able to deal with the challenges they face with families within the ministry.

Ephesians 4:29 “ Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Pray that the words of their months will be seasoned with grace to build and not tear down.” Pray that every word from their mouths will be word which can build and not tear down.

2023 Retreat Preparatory Prayers - Day 12: Praying for the HOZ 2023 Retreat

“And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. 15 Then he said to Him, “If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here.” Just as God came to the point where he made a decision that his presence will go with the Israelites to Canaan, we can also ask Him to come with us to the retreat. His presence is all we need.
— Exodus 33:14
“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.”
— Isaiah 59:2

God wants for us to confess every sin irrespective how bad it may look in our eyes. There is no sin that cannot be washed by the blood of Jesus. Unconfessed sins hinders answers to prayers. Ask God for Mery over every sin that may stand as a barrier to the retreat.

Romans 8:32 “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” Pray for every need for the retreat: financial( those needing money to come) physical(time) spiritual etc.Pray that God is His mercy will provide everything needed. He has never failed us. He will not start now.

John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” Pray that we shall come with open hearts and receive the teachings of the Holy Spirit.

Exodus 40:34 “Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.” Pray for the manifestation of God glory as His children gather at the retreat venue.

Psalm 84:11 “ For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Pray for the shield and favor of God upon everyone . Pray that as we gather, every stone shall be turned, nothing shall be withheld in God’s presence. We shall by all means receive everything the Lord has for us.

Ezekiel 36:25 “ I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.” Pray that the Lord will go before us and cleanse the entire environment of any form of uncleanliness.

Isaiah 45:2 “I will go before you and make the rough places smooth;
I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars.” Ask the Lord to go before this retreat and level every rough path, every barrier in any shape, break every wall or barricade of the enemy.

2 Samuel 5: 24 “It shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then you shall act promptly, for then the Lord will have gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.” Pray that the powerful hand of God will go froth and strike down every Philistines or associates that would want to interfere with the retreat gathering.
