2023 Retreat Preparatory Prayers - Day 11: Pray for Father’s House Mission trip to Ghana

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
— Matthew 28:18-20

Every spiritual work on this earth must have the end results of winning souls for the kingdom of God, else it’s not of any kingdom value. Mathew 28:18-20 is a very popular verse in the Bible, but has been neglected the most.

Pray for sufficient grace for this journey to Ghana.

1 Chronicles 16:24 “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” Pray that God will use them to declare his glory over the nation of Ghana.

Psalm 22:27 “All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.” Pray that through this mission, people in Ghana without Jesus’s will return to the Lord at every level.

Acts 13: 47 “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “ ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ” Pray that as the team travel, their light will shine and illuminate the hearts of the people so they can understand and see the need to surrender to Jesus.

Acts 13:2-3 “2While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.” Pray that as we are in the season of prayer and fasting, the Holy Spirit will do His work in all involved in this team so that they will be effective in the work they are called to do in Ghana.

John 20:21 “Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” When the father sent Jesus, He operated under the authority, power, and leadership of the one who sent him. He did not operate by himself. Pray that it will be same for those going to Ghana.

1 Corinthians 16: 9 “For a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” Pray against any power of the enemy that would want to stand against the work of God.

Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Pray that God will pour his blessing upon father’s house for embarking on the mission of soul winning.

2023 Retreat Preparatory Prayers - Day 10: Praying for Leaders in Authority

“2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
— 1 Timothy 2:1-2

God expects intercessors to pray for leaders irrespective of whether they are God fearing or not. If you take a look at most leaders of the nations of the world, you will find out that most of them are religious people in their own way but most of them does not have Christ. Therefore their leadership is based on human wisdom with all its limitations.

Mathew 1:21 “She will give birth to a Son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins." Act 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Pray for the salvation of leaders in spiritual and physical positions of authority in the nations.

Ezekiel 36:25-37 “ 25I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.” Pray that God in his ways will cleanse their hearts, give them a new heart by removing the heart of stone and allowing his Spirit to direct and guide them.

Isaiah 50:10 “Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the word of his servant? Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on their God.” Proverb 1:7 “7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Pray that the fear of God to consume the hearts of leaders”

2 Chronicles 1:10 “Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” 1 Kings 4:12 “God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore” Ask God to give leaders of the church and nations wisdom to lead the people in the direction that honors God and brings him glory.

1 Samuel 18:1 “Now it came about when he had finished speaking to Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as himself.” Pray that God will raise helpers for leaders who will help them accomplish the purpose that God has set for them.

1 Samuel 12:23 “As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.” Pray that God will raise dedicated intercessors who will war in the spirit to ensure that God’s plan for leaders come to pass.
