Day 17: 12/13/23: Taking the Promises by Force

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”
— Mathew 11:12

The beauty of the word of God is the fact that God’s promises always come to pass. There is a war between the kingdom of this world and that of God. In order for anyone to be safe, righteous and fulfill the heavenly mandate one must arise, be intentional, determined and take a step towards the service to God. We have to be violently seeking God in the place of prayers and the word. The devil will never give anyone a free pass. We must ask God for grace to not give up. We have to take back by force every thing the enemy had stolen from us.

1 Corinthians 14:12 “So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.”

Pray for the grace to be eagerly walking with the Lord in every step as well as ensuring that we are building the church.

Psalm 69:9 “For zeal for Your house has consumed me, And the [mocking] insults of those who insult You have fallen on me.”

Pray that the zeal with knowledge will consume our hearts. This zeal must be based the knowledge of God.

Pray that the zeal with knowledge will consume the hearts in church however this knowledge of Him who has called you according to Romans 10:2 “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.”

Psalm 42:1 “As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.”

Pray that the church will become tasty for God and its righteousness.


psalm 84-2 “My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.”

Pray that the church will become hungry for the presence of God.

Psalm 37: 4:5 “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”

Pray for the church will delight in the Lord.

1 Samuel 30: 6 “And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.”

Pray against the spirit of discouragement in the storm. Pray for the grace of encouragement.

James 4:7 “So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Pray for the grace to resist Satan. Pray that the church will be zealous to study God’s which is the weapon against the devil.

1 Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you.”

Pray for humility so that we can easily hear God. This brings blessing, elevation and Glory, going back to God.

Joshua 21: 45 “ Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”

God is not a man. Pray that every promise of God in life, family, church and work places must come to pass.
