21-Day Fast: Day 11 - Unity in the Body of Christ

There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all
— Ephesians 4:4-6

Romans 12:4-5 “For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”

  • Pray that the church will arise and put the word into practice.

Mathew 12: 25 “Knowing their thoughts, He said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.”

  • Pray that God will open the eyes of the church to realize that the church has one common enemy, Satan, and therefore need everyone to stand against Satan rather against each other.

Mathew 18:15 “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.”  Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you

  • We cannot walk in unity if we keep record of wrong. We must be able to discuss our issues. Pray that God will grant grace to the church to be able to address such issues.

1 Peter 3:8 “Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”

  • Pray that the church will put their differences aside and come together in one mind, with brotherly love, tender heart and humbled mind.

Mathew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

  • The power of agreement is very strong, and the enemy knows that, so he constantly makes us to fight with our own. Pray that God will arise and help His church.

1 Corinthians 1:10 “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.”

  • Pray against the spirit of disagreement and ask God for the grace to be united with one another.

Colossians 3:14 “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”

  • According to John 3:16, it was the love of the Father that took Jesus to the cross. Therefore, love is the backbone of the ministry of the gospel. We cannot say we love God when we have all these hatred towards each other. Pray that the church will arise and love each other the way Christ loved us to die for us.

Psalm 133:1-3 “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.”

  • Unity opens the door of blessings for the church. Pray that God will arise and stir the spirit of unity in the hearts of church leaders.

Philippians 1:27 “Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.”

  • Pray that the church will walk worthy of its call, standing firm, side by side each other for the common good; spreading the word of God.

  • Pray this over the church: Romans 15:5-7 “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”

Romans 12:16 “Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.”

  • Pray that as the church live in harmony, we will not be haughty and never be considered wiser then someone else.

Acts 4:32 “Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common.”

  • Pray that the church today will go back to the basics in Acts 4:32.

Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

  • Pray that the church will see itself as one body all in Christ Jesus, without looking at the color, race, financial/social background.

2 Chronicles 30:12 “The hand of God was also on Judah to give them one heart to do what the king and the princes commanded by the word of the Lord.”

  • Pray that God will melt our hearts together as one body to do that which He has commanded by His word.

Ephesians 4:11-13 “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,”

  • There is always fighting inside the same church sometimes related to gifts. Yet these gifts are for building the body of Christ. Pray that the fire of God will break such divisions in the gift department of the church.

John 17:21-23 “That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me

  • Declare this word over the church in the name of Jesus Christ.
