21-Day Fast: Day 18 - Watchmen at the Gates of the Church

Micah 2:13 “The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the LORD at their head." God is pouring His anointing to His end time intercessors to break open the way for the Glory of God, salvation, healing, restoration, revival, deliverance, freedom from the gates of the enemy and let Jesus the head come in and deliver the people.

  • Pray that the anointing will not pass us by.

Zachariah 10:5 “Together they will be like warriors in battle trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets. They will fight because the LORD is with them, and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame.”

  • Declare this word of every watchman in the name of Jesus.

Isaiah 62:6 “On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest.”

  • Declare the word of God over every watchman, intercessor, and prayer warrior in the church. Pray that we will NEVER become silent and will give God no rest until we see the glory of God in the church.

As a watchman on the wall, you are on duty till the job is done. In the house of God a watchman is not a temporary issued position.  As duty calls, a watchman is on duty all the time because the enemy goes to and fro looking for whom to devour according to 1 Peter 5:8”Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

  • Pray that God will equip every watchman with the spirit of alertness and sober mind so that we can challenge the enemy so that he will not take souls captive.

Ephesians 6:18 “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.”

  • Pray for the grace and the anointing to be watchful and pray at all times.

Ezekiel 33:7 “So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.”

  • Pray that God will cause our spiritual ears to hear God at the gates of the church and give warning as the Lord commands.

Nehemiah 4:9 “And we prayed to our God and set a guard as a protection against them day and night.”

  • The watchman is called to protect the people. Pray for grace and strength for the Lord to be our portion.

Jeremiah 31:6 “For there shall be a day when watchmen will call in the hill country of Ephraim: ‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to the Lord our God.’’

  • Pray that God will raise watchmen from every church upon the earth who will blow their trumpets and call on the Lord from mount Zion to restore His glory again upon the church.

Ezekiel 33: 3-6 “And if he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people, then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.”

  • Pray that God will open the spiritual eyes of the watchmen at the gates of the church so we can see and send forth warming.

  • The safety of the church lies in the watchman doing his job diligently. Pray the word of God will not find the watchman sleeping or doing something else that destruct and cause a delay or no warming.

Ezekiel 37:4-12Then He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.  I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.  I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. Then he said to me: "Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, 'Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off. Therefore prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.”

  • Ask God to pour upon every watchman the anointing of Ezekiel to prophesy unto the dry bones in the church; praylessness, laziness, discouragement, lukewarmness, hopelessness, etc.

  • Pray and command the dry bones in our churches to come alive in the name of Jesus. Call forth the breath of the Holy Spirit over the church.

  • Declare the word of God over the church; Ezekiel 37:12 “ Therefore prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.” The Lord is bringing the church back to the place of worship, covenant with Him.

Isaiah 21:8 “Then he who saw cried out: “Upon a watchtower I stand, O Lord, continually by day, and at my post I am stationed whole nights.”

  • Cry out to the Lord and ask for grace to continue to stand and not give up.

  • Cry aloud as indicated in Isaiah 58:1 “Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins.”

Isaiah 56:10-11 “His watchmen are blind; they are all without knowledge; they are all silent dogs; they cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber. The dogs have a mighty appetite; they never have enough. But they are shepherds who have no understanding; they have all turned to their own way, each to his own gain, one and all.”

  • Pray that this will not be your portion in the name of Jesus.

Luke 2:36-37 “There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying.”

  • Pray that God will pour on watchmen the anointing of Anna and grace as a Prophetic intercessor

Isaiah 41:25 “I have raised up one from the north, and he has come--one from the east who calls on My name. He will march over rulers as if they were mortar, like a potter who treads the clay.”

  • Pray that this word will become a reality in our day. Pray that God will raise warriors from every corner of the earth to match over rulers and principalities, forces of spiritual wickedness in the dark, demonic powers challenging the word of God.
