Day 21: "Let Me Go And Worship My God In 2022"

Then He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the affliction of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings. I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached Me, and I have seen how severely the Egyptians are oppressing them. Therefore, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring My people the Israelites out of Egypt.
— Exodus 3:6-10

As children of God, sometimes life can really be difficult when the enemy attacks and this can take you to that place where you begin to wonder if truly God is still who he says he is. In the passage above, God is calling Moses to a rescue mission. He wants to ensure Moses understands who is calling him and what it is for, and where he is going. The people of God have long suffered, called on the Lord (V7) and I am sure they have been wondering if God is still alive.

When God comes into a situation, he often will do the following:

  1. God speaks and reveals himself, thus we need attentive, listening, and hearing ears: Exodus 3:6 “Then He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.”

  2. God acknowledges the problem: Exodus 3:7 “The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the affliction of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings”

  3. God brings an intervention:  Exodus 3:8 “I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.”

  4. God shows forth his glory:” And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD.” So the Israelites did this.” Exodus 14:4

As we get into 2022, the Lord is giving us our own place and we shall dwell there in safety. “And I will provide a place for My people Israel and will plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their own and be disturbed no more. No longer will the sons of wickedness oppress them as they did at the beginning”. 2 Samuel 7:10

We are not going empty handed. Whatever the enemy stole from us in 2021, we are recovering it all to precede into 2022, where we will worship the Lord in spirit and truth. Genesis 31:42 “If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, surely by now you would have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my affliction and the toil of my hands, and last night He rendered judgment."

There is no doubt that sometimes the enemy would like to make you feel as if there is no problem. Deliverance has to be total freedom. “Pharaoh said, “I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the Lord your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray for me.” Exodus 8:28.

Prayer Points

  • Declare that the Lord be glorified in any form of captivity the enemy has placed you in: “And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.” Exodus 9:16

  • Declare this Word over any power that would not let you go: “and I told you to let My son go so that he may worship Me. But since you have refused to let him go, behold, I will kill your firstborn son!” Exodus 4:23

  • Declare this Word over every Pharaoh that does not want to let you go. It is time to worship the Lord and we must go now: “And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me” Exodus 9:13

  • Ask the Lord to stretch out his hand in the land of your enemies and bring you out: “And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out from among them." Exodus 7:5

  • Call on your God; the Mighty Warrior, the Lord is his name - to send his great power upon every one of your enemies so that they must drown in the Red Sea of 2021 with all their demonic power. None will follow you in 2022: “The LORD is a warrior, the LORD is His name. Pharaoh’s chariots and army He has cast into the sea; the finest of his officers are drowned in the Red Sea. The depths have covered them; they sank there like a stone.” Exodus 15: 3-5

  • Call on the Lord to arise and fight for you. The enemies you saw in 2021, must perish. You will see them now more: “But Moses told the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the LORD’s salvation, which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14

  • Our God is also the God who delivers even in the Lion’s den.  Call on him today to deliver you from any cage the enemy has placed you into. 2022 is the year of worship. You must be released: “So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the den of lions. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you!” A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that nothing concerning Daniel could be changed.” Daniel 6: 16-17. Then Daniel replied, “O king, may you live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, for I was found innocent in His sight, and I have done no wrong against you, O king.” Daniel 6: 21-22

  • God is calling for worshipers and the enemy cannot hold you bound. Call on the Lord, the fourth man in the fire to arise on your behalf. Everyone carrying an assignment of your enemies must die in that same place they are trying to put you in: “The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the fiery flames killed the men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, firmly bound, fell into the blazing fiery furnace. Suddenly King Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and asked his advisers, “Did we not throw three men, firmly bound, into the fire?” “Certainly, O king,” they replied. “Look!” he exclaimed. “I see four men, unbound and unharmed, walking around in the fire—and the fourth looks like a son of the gods!” Daniel 3: 22-25

  • Stand on this Word and in agreement with everyone who has participated in these 21 days of prayers/fasting. Bind every power of the enemy that is holding you captive: “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you truly that if two of you on the earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven” Mathew 18:18-19
