Day 17: 12/13/23: Taking the Promises by Force

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”
— Mathew 11:12

The beauty of the word of God is the fact that God’s promises always come to pass. There is a war between the kingdom of this world and that of God. In order for anyone to be safe, righteous and fulfill the heavenly mandate one must arise, be intentional, determined and take a step towards the service to God. We have to be violently seeking God in the place of prayers and the word. The devil will never give anyone a free pass. We must ask God for grace to not give up. We have to take back by force every thing the enemy had stolen from us.

Day 16: 12/12/23: Dealing with falsehood in the church

“1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not being sleeping. “

— 2 Peter 2: 1-3

Falsehood in the church is very common and we must be careful to detect it and and run away from it. The quest for name, money, large crowds and self centered motives has landed most ministers of the gospel in a very uncomfortable spot. Falsehood is very common and has done a good job in penetrating the church such that it is very difficult to detect. The church must arise in the place of prayer and the word so that such falsehood can be uprooted.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will begin to reveal all false Phophet’s and teachers and be expelled out of the church.

Pray that the church will get back to the place of prayer and the word.

Pray that the grace of Hod will keep his church from falling away.

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”

Such wickedness is the weapon of the enemy to keep the church away from a holy living. Pray that such will not prosper against the church.

Pray that God will arise and rescue his church from such falsehood.

We can only resist the devil by the word of God. Pray that the church will arise and surrender to this great God and by his word resist this wickedness.
