Day 5: Availability, Obedience, and Access

“Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. 2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”
— Genesis 22: 1-2

How would you feel when you call someone and they don’t answer or take their time? We have all been called into the kingdom of God. We all have an assignment, but we can be a hindrance to our spiritual assignment. We must be available for the master’s use at all times. When God wanted to test Abraham, he was readily available to answer his name. He knew God was the one calling his name and asking him to offer his only child.

He answered “I am here”- ready to yield, humble, obey, it was a priority, God was first place, ready and willing to serve. We see the same in the call of many generals in the Bible Jacob ( Genesis 31:11), Moses ( Exodus 3:4), Samuel ( I Samuel 3:4), Mary ( Luke 1:38)

Pray for the grace to make yourself humble, ready and available, for whatever God is calling you in this season to do.

Abraham heard God and was ready to sacrifice his only son. This can be the most difficult thing to offer to God, but pray for the grace to hear God and sacrifice your Isaac- whatever that may be.

Abraham trusted and obeyed God. He had faith in the God he trusted even if he did not understand. Hebrew 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him”

Pray for the grace to trust God, obey him and walk in the faith of Abraham-

In every call there is a purpose according to Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Pray for a clarity of understanding the purpose of your existence and call in the season, so you don’t miss it.

To walk in the purposes of God we must love the lord with everything inside of us.

Luke 10:27 “And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

Pray for the the grace to love God according to his word.

Ephesians 3:16-19 “16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

If you walk in obedience, trust, and humility, as well as avail yourself, it will be easy to access the throne room of the Father and receive the spiritual power needed for every Godly assignment. Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Pray for the grace to access this spiritual anointing as we wait on God.

Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus. Take each step and pray it into your life.

Luke 1:38 “And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.”

Pray that in this season, this will be your declaration.
