Day 5: Ministers of the Gospel

If there is one thing someone can do for the church, it will be praying for the purpose of God. We cannot understand the mind of the father without connecting with him in spirit and prayer. Our ministers need us on our knees. We have to prayer for them.

“19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”
— Ephesians 6:19-20

Pray for wisdom as God grant grace to down load His mysteries into the hearts of his people. Pray that ministers will preach the gospel fearlessly.

Acts 4:13 “When they saw the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they marveled and took note that these men had been with Jesus.”

Acts 4:31 “After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”

Pray that ministers will flow in the gifts of the spirit as they are filled with power.

This same Peter was not this bold when Jesus was still with them. With the team of disciples they spent time in the upper room in prayer and the word. Transforming and anointing comes only from the place of prayer and the word. Pray that ministers of the Gospel will spend QUALITY time in prayer and the word of God.

1 Corinthians 12:28 “And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, and those with gifts of healing, helping, administration, and various tongues.”

Although we see the abuse and improper use of ministers, they must work deliberately in their respective calling

“Philippians 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”

Pray that God will arise and supply the needs of the ministers; emotional, financial, family, physical and spiritual needs etc.

2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”

Pray that God will make all grace sufficient for every given assignment. There is grace for every thing God has asked ministers to do.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Pray that this scripture becomes a reality to every minister.

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.”

Pray against every weapon of the enemy irrespective of where it’s coming from.

Psalm 18:31-35 “31 For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? 32  It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. 33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. 34  He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 35  You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.”

Declare this word of ministers of the gospel of hope.

Zechariah 2:5 “5 And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will be its glory within.”

Pray that will that this verse above will come to pass in Jesus mighty name.

Acts 20:28 “Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.”

Ministers of the gospel are God’s care takers for his children. Pray that as ministers, they will not fail their spiritual assignment of taking care of people.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

Pray for the grace to preach the word and to walk in accordance with the word.

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”

Pray for peace and joy in every aspect of love.

1 Peter 4:11 “Whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Finally, pray that as ministers called to partner with God on the earth, they will give all the glory of God.
