“15 This is what the LORD says: “A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children, and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.” 16 This is what the LORD says: “Keep your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for the reward for your work will come, declares the LORD. Then your children will return from the land of the enemy.”

Heaven awaits the voice of intercessors crying out for the deliverance of our children for them to be planted in the house of the Lord as the future leaders of the church, the nations, and communities. The beauty of Prayer is that GOD HEARS AND ANSWERS when we pray out of a sincere heart (The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” James 5:16”. What did Rachel in Jeremiah 31:15-16, saw that warranted that kind of a deep cry? Like Rachel we must cry for the deliverance of our children. The world is in disarray and as Jesus prayed in John 15 15 “I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one”, prayers for our children is protective as we know that daily they mingle with the people of world in different regards, something we cannot prevent so prayer becomes what we can offer. We must get to a place where we understand the value of our children. Lamentations 1:10 “The adversary has seized all her treasures. For she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary— those You had forbidden to enter Your assembly”. Our children are treasured possession that the enemy in this world has entered our homes and stolen them from us and we CANNOT AFFORD NOT TO PRAY FOR THEM, even for the unborn. If we are not yet in that place where we become uncomfortable with the things of the world pushing us to seek wisdom from God to understand what kind of a world will the future of our children look like, it will be difficult to pray with sincerity. We have to ask what kind of legacy are we leaving behind? Most of our children have left God and are already in the wrong places due to wrong decisions and wrong associations. Although they go to church with us, read their bibles etc. these have become an activity rather than a spiritual and truth in God. They are no longer under the covering of the Lord and parents. We must wage war against the adversary at every cost.
We must not tolerate the weapon of the enemy around our tents to inflict harm on our children in any form. Declare that no weapon irrespective of type, size, or where it’s coming from or who is sending it shall prosper, we must reject, weapons, arrow of destruction that are assigned to destroy destinies. Isaiah 54:17 “ No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.”
Like the prodigal son, pray that they will come back to their senses and thus back to God and family. Luke 15: 16-18 “16He longed to fill his belly with the pods the pigs were eating, but no one would give him a thing. 17Finally he came to his senses and said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have plenty of food? But here I am, starving to death! 18I will get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.”
Pray that the God of our covenant will send ministering angels on a recuse mission for the lives of any of our children held in the enemy’s camp: Acts 12:11 “Then Peter came to himself and said, "Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent His angel and rescued me from Herod's grasp and from everything the Jewish people were anticipating.
These are the realities ( Psalm 18:5 “The cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me”) that affect our children but due to their young spiritual ages they are not able to descend even to explain things, we only see these things manifesting in the different bad behaviors we see. We must cry to God for help, let the earth and its foundation shake and push out and expose the enemy and let the fire of God burn down to ashes whatever it is that has invaded or punctured our tents. Psalm 18: 5- 8 “5The cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me. 6In my distress I called upon the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for His help reached His ears. 7Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains trembled; they were shaken because He burned with anger. 8Smoke rose from His nostrils, and consuming fire came from His mouth; glowing coals blazed forth. 9He parted the heavens and came down with dark clouds beneath His feet”
Pray for a revelation and understanding of Psalm 18:15 at the rebuke of the Lord. “The channels of the sea appeared, and the foundations of the world were exposed, at Your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.”
Our children have lots of potentials but the thief has stolen them. Pray that the Lord will arise in his anger and release fire on every foundation of wickedness in every place, thing, person where their destines have been buried: Deuteronomy 32:22 “For a fire has been kindled by My anger, and it burns to the depths of Sheol; it consumes the earth and its produce, and scorches the foundations of the mountains.”
Pray that God’s anger will not retreat until the enemies of our children are completely destroyed by fire and brought to their graves. Psalm 50:3 “Our God approaches and will not be silent! Consuming fire precedes Him, and a tempest rages around Him.” Hebrew 12:29 “ For our God is a consuming fire.”
Pray that every day as our children go out, the Lord will go before them and consume by fire and destroy every obstacle in their path. Deuteronomy 9:3”But understand that today the LORD your God goes across ahead of you as a consuming fire; He will destroy them and subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them swiftly, as the LORD has promised you.
Pray for an out pour of fiery coal and sulfur upon the wicked who have been inflicting pain in the lives of our children. Psalm 11:6 “On the wicked He will rain down fiery coals and sulfur; a scorching wind will be their portion.”
Oh Satan that stands in the way of our children, hear ye the word of the Lord; The Lord of host rebuke you, even the Lord who has chosen our children, rebuke you for you will not take them out of the presence of the Lord. Zechariah 3:2-4 “And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?”
Pray that those planning evil against our children must drink from the cup of the Lord’s wrath. Psalm 75:8 “For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours from His cup, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to the dregs.
Pray for the deliverance of our children from every area where the enemy plans to put them and as they are awake spiritual, they will be strong spiritually enough to impact their generation for the Lord. Luke 22: 31-32 “31Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. 32But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Pray that the Spirit of the Lord will drive out friends and association in their lives our children that do not glorify God. Exodus 34:24 “For I will drive out the nations before you and enlarge your borders, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times a year to appear before the LORD your God.
Declare on every philistine attempting to or already dwelling in the land allotted for our children the word of the Lord. Ezekiel 25:16- 17 “ 16therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites and destroy the remnant along the coast. 17I will execute great vengeance against them with furious reproof. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay My vengeance upon them.”
Pray that every ungodly gathering against gathering against the destinies of our children must fall and never to rise again in the might name of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 54:15”Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake”.
